claim to be not selling - have rung my number at least 5 times a day for the past 5 weeks. I keep refusing to tell them anything.
I have asked for the address to complain - and was given the
    Address B&B 5th Floor Westminster House 11 portland street Manchester M1 3HU

Have just had a missed call from this number.
    No message left.
    Glad I didn't answer it!
Ofcom, or whoever has the clout, shoud make it legally binding on these nuisance calling companies to disclose their address details on a central register so we can see whos who and blacklist more easily.

They don't give up - they will keep calling multiple times per day asking for contact details and can be abusive.

I would doubt that they are direct calls from Dun & Bradstereet more likely some call centre being contracted to harvest details.

Was phoned at 8.30am!! The only people who we'd expect to phone us so early would have bad news about ill & elderly relatives. I was so angry to find it was a "cold call" from a business that I put the phone down without taking any notice of the company name he mentioned.
Our number is registered with Telephone Preference Service - but there are obviously ways round that.

They just called me three times in a row, but i screen all calls and let them start talking to to an answer phone before i pick up, they did not leave a message so i did not pick up - i am also registered with the TPS so i shall report them

We have caller display so I knew that it was a some sort of cold calling before I answered. They asked to speak to me in regard to a Charity that I am Secretary of. Before he could speak I told him that we were too small a Charity to be involved with Business Consultants. He then asked to check the Charity details and I said no and put the phone down. They must have got my details from a list of Charities. We are registered with TPS. I'm sure they have called a number of times when we've been out.

I did a Google search on that address in Manchester and it came up with this link:

    http://www.bss.org/page.asp?section=000100010 ... ts+%26+Services

It seems to be yet another telemarketing outfit. It was a bit puzzling actually, because another Google search simply gave me the name of a pub at the same address - "The Edward", which is on this link:
    http://manchesterbars.wordpress.com/category/bar-reviews-e/

Maybe it's a big building with lots of companies in it and perhaps someone with a better knowledge of Manchester can enlighten us.

I just got a call at 8.25am on my home number from someone with a very thick accent - could hardly understand him - about the charity I am involved with, asking to confirm details. I just told him to look on our website, he had the address already. Very intrusive and irritating. I'm thinking of getting a phone with caller display so I can screen calls.

Just had a call from this number. Obviously not using current information from charity website as it has changed. Second attempt to call me in past month.

Had a call from a female, probably Indian, only JUST understandable, asking to confirm details about my (one-person) company for a marketing directory whose name I didn't catch. She already knew the info on the company (name, address, director, secretary, date of establishment etc, all freely available on the Companies House site or elsewhere. I didn't mind talking about turnover (small!), but was astonished to be asked who the company banked with and what the branch was. After I declined to answer that, she wrapped up the conversation. Surprise, surprise!

Just received a very similar call to Rod's. They waned to know information in order to build a profile on how credit worthy our company is! We don't work in an area in which this is relevent at all. The caller, a lady with a strong accent, was difficult to understand and reluctant to give her employer's details in a way in which I could manage to write them down. We're also registered with the TPS so I have complained to them.

Got a call today with this ID.
Managed to get them to admit to a) being a call centre in India (this I could believe) and b) to be calling on behalf of Dun and Bradstreet (actually they volunteered this).
So I have complained to Dun and Bradstreet - easily found on the web at www.dnb.com .
    e-mail sbsSupport@dnb.com
If it is real then they need to know our displeasure.
If not, then DnB can set their goons on the crooks.

Just received a call from this same lady, speaking fast and with a thick accent.
The information she wanted to clarify on the phone matched that previously given to a Dun & Bradstreet agent. Ie this company 'seeds' such data with info that later enables us to trace the original source! :-)
However, this researcher didn't have the level of expertise I have previously associated with Dun & Bradstreet themselves. She faltered twice when I attempted to change details held on their database.
My impression was that the call was from a 3rd party who has access to Dun & Bradstreet's existing busines info.

Got one today as well - a lady from probably Mombai, obviously reading in a hurry from a script - was difficult to interrupt - I denied knowledge of the company they were trying to get info about - she soon went.
