Keep getting silent calls from 0800 4088090

When I ring back it says its a marketing company and they'll call back!

I DONT WANT THEM TO CALL BACK!

they keep calling and when i pick up they don't say anything and then they call back!

the buggers keep calling our house, i'm getting quite fed up with it. i've not rung back, and i don't intend to, they can f**k off and die. someone stop this please!

Am so sick of the above number. It phones me at least 4 times a week. Today it's called 3 times already, hanging up on me all 3 times when I answer. When I ring it back it has a recorded message saying someone from the company has tried to call regarding one of their customers (one of which is BT).

As if it's not bad enough they keep cold calling me and hanging up on me when they do call me half the time it's not even anyone at this address that they want to talk to and then get angry with me when I try to explain the person they want doesn't live here!

if you ring them and ask to be removed from there phoning list they will do so and if you ask they will also tell you how they got your phone number. I received numerous phone calls from them where they hang up as soon as i answer. Aparently they received my phone number from a company called Camdis. They also removed my mumber from any other partys that they deal with so hopefully the annoying rinning will stop now.

Here's my response to BT:

On several occasions at the end of last year I was pestered by Barry from BT in Northern Ireland trying to get me to return to BT for my calls - usually when I was in the middle of work or preparing a meal.  This ceased, and for the past month, I have been hounded (that is putting it politely) by silent calls from 0800 408 8090.  I did some investigation on the internet to find out that this is a company 2Touch working on BT's behalf.  Today I called them to remove my details from their list and confirm that it was indeed BT who was responsible.  This was verified.

How on earth you wish people to come back to BT using this method is beyond me and a casual glance at the internet will reveal how many people are irritated by these calls and to my mind they will never return to BT.  I received THREE in one day.

All I have (HAD) with BT was line rental, and as a direct consequence of the behaviour of BT, I have just now finished transferring my line rental to another provider.

Thus, as a result of your invasive sales routine, you have actually LOST business and so long as any other provider can supply my requirements, I will never return to BT.

I intend to do a little publicity on this issue on the internet.

We too have been receiving numerous calls from this number, as many as three sometimes more a day, we also have left B.T. quite some time ago. if the
nuisance ( thats what they are)calls are conected with this surely someone can take some steps to stop this practice. We were getting the same treatment from another number, hopefully these have stopped.  I dont know how our number is being passed around we have neither credit or debit cards.

Rang tonight at about 19:05 but stopped ringing before I could answer.  Thanks to websites like this one I can now ignore this number!

I have been called on several occasions by 08004088090 and on each occasion the call was terminated without the caller speaking when the call was answered. The last occasion was on 18 March at 16.13. If these calls are in fact from British Gas then they are unsolicited and it is obvious that the firm is not observing its legal obligation remove phone numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service ( as I am) from its calling list.

Further to my previous comment I mistakenly named British Gas (WHO APPARENTLY CALL USING 08450724636)instead of British Telecom. Apologies offered.

2 calls in 5 minutes tonight, both times they hung up right away.

We get called every day twice and end up with a silent call!

This has been going on for a month

This number has rung me over and over again, including Saturday and Sunday. I am sick of them. As I have caller display I hung up on them! I have rung them back using 141 and they confirmed it was 2touch ringing on behalf of a client. Next time they ring I will tell them I am reporting them for ringing a TPS number and they will get fined! Hopefully they will quit!

I have this number call me about 20 times a day for the last 3 months. Every time the line is dead when I answer. It has got so bad I have reported them to the Police for nuisance calls. The calls will start at about 7am and will carry on well past mightnight!

0800 408 8090 has been driving me mad! I have found the marketing number for 2 Touch. Everyone please join me in ringing 0800 694 4075 and request their marketing team to remove you from their calling list.  Hopefully the calls to my numner should stop.

Im also getting calls from this company and when I return the call they says its BT thats asking them to call me.

Will soon stop this hassle.

Found this website today and find that I'm using it straight away because I just got a call from 0800 408 8090.  

Because I have caller id, and obviously didn't recognise the number, I declined to pick up the phone.  After reading all the comments regarding this number, I shall not be answering it if this number calls again (which it will if the above comments are correct!)

Very annoying because when the phone rings, you want to answer it.  Watching and listening to it ring and ring, you want to answer it just to shut it up!!!

Got called by these people Sunday 4th May.  They asked to speak to my boyfriend by name and he went out of the room to speak to them.  When he came back in, he told me it was Setanta Sports (a satellite sports channel) who had collected his first monthly subscription fee via his debit card after an initial free trial.  I couldn't believe that he had given someone his details so freely over the phone!!  I got straight on here, looked it up and saw that it was a coldcaller.  Nervous?  Yep.  Anyhoo - we called Setanta Sports direct who confirmed (after being passed around a few times) that 2touch were actually a third party agent who did business on their behalf.  Phew!!

So, looking at the comments above, their methods of communication can be called into question, but to put anyone's mind at rest using this site, they do some legitimate business too so don't worry too much.

Again, I had a silent call and contacted 2 touch (link provided earlier in the thread). It was a call to sell BT Vision and I asked them to remove me from their marketing lists. In fairness, they were pretty polite and apologetic. OK by me as long as the calls stop.
