- Mart replies to personDomestic & General, you can call 0800 444 232 and follow instructions to stop marketing calls. However i recently cancelled a direct debit for a policy i didnt need so maybe they are chasing me to see whats going on.
- Val| 8 repliesI have had 8 calls in the last 24 hours, from this number, which is Domestic and General! Twice I told them to take my name off their calling list, but the calls still came. I have registered with the Telephone Preference Service, apparently it should now stop these calls, we shall see....
- Caller: Domestic & General
- Call type: Telemarketer

I very much doubt it, I have been registered for over a year they phoned me yesterday, did not get through as I forked out £100 for Tru-call screens all calls and stops them getting through with Telephone Preference Service I still get 2-3 calls a day being screened out it is a total waste of time - Mariner replies to Paul| 2 repliesRegistered with the TPS over 2 years ago STOPS NOTHING!!!!!!!
Good job it was free! - Sara| 1 replyi hate all these calls. please contact them and make it stop
- DamStop stop stop ringing me
- Whistle |Blower| 5 repliesLike others on this site I am also registered with TPS. they stop nothing just a waste of money, I most certainly will not be renewing any demand for subscriptions in the future to them.
This number 0800444231 leave no messages just a pain in the rear end.
If they ring whislt I am home they get the full loud whistle treatment, this should ring in their ears for many minutes. [***].- Caller: null
- Old Mother Riley| 1 replyBit of an empty threat because TPS is a free service. Details of the caller are in posts above yours. If you have been a customer of Domestic & General they would not be breaking the TPS rules in trying to contact you.
- WHISTLE BLOWER replies to Old Mother RileyYour Comment with regard to TPS yes I agree, this is a Ineffective free service, but it is the others that I do pay for will not be getting a renewal.
Ther will get the whistle blast down the receiver if I am at home to take the call. - Glen replies to person| 1 replythey are a company that provides extended warranty cover for white goods when the suppiers one has expired
- iceman replies to GlenSimply inform them that you have moved to Ireland! 1 call end of :)
- Jim HRung me 6 times in the last 48 hours. .. hoping they just take the hint and go away
- mr.martinsthis company keeps phoning and no ones there
- Mr.CollinsWhy phone someone when they are not willing to bloody answer BLOODY MADNESS.
- AndyDont bother with TPS or having your number witheld. Try TrueCall. You can get it to withhold your number for free. Also calls like this end up at what is termed a wisper prompt, you phone does not ring but the caller is asked to state their name, cold callers usually give up now. if not your phone rings and you get a recorded message '<xxx> is calling' then you can take the call reject it or direct it to answerphone. I do not work for TrueCall but have been a happy customer for years. You can build up a star list for friends and family who get strait through.
- Shirley MaplePhoned whilst I was out - answerphone on but they couldn't be bothered to say who they were and why they had phoned. I am exdirectory and on TPS so don't expect to get these calls!
- Caller: Unknown as they didn't say
- Martin BishopThe last 4-5 weeks we are getting calls from them every day,we do not even bother to answer,800 calls we always ignore
- Caller: Domestic & General
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AntonioWho is colling me?
- Taz Holmes| 2 repliesThis number called me today and I reluctantly answered the call. Young lady said she was calling from Domestic and General on behalf of X company (the manufacturer of my dishwasher.) Basically the warranty ran out and her company wishes to offer me an extended warranty to cover the dishwasher. I fibbed and told them that I had already renewed the policy and they politely wished me a nice day and that was the end of it. They did ring back about two hours later but that's what caller ID and answer phones are for ! They're not malicious calls, just a bit annoying when expecting another call!
And regarding the TPS; although they seem rather inept at filtering out UK based telemarketing calls I haven't had as near as many international calls since registering, which is something.- Caller: Domestic and General
- Call type: Telemarketer
