keep calling  hangs up when answered

It's the same number as 044 8000 510899 (see comments under that number).

Indian call centre claiming to be some charity research.

Keep a log of call for complaint.
Luckily I only got a max of 6 a day and they stopped after 6 weeks and some 3 dozen calls.

Never rush to the phone to answer (let some other sucker answer the automated machine first) and don't speak — as soon as you do (e.g say "click!") it goes "click!"
If you want to speak to them, answer as soon as possible and you might be lucky, then say that they are breaking the law and that new regulations from Ofcom can fine them £2m.

please do not call again .this call is upsetting and cruel to elderly and frail people like us.

Called 1230 18Jan2010....sounded Indian....."just doing charity research...it will only take 5 mins". Very insistent so I hung up.
