Call from someone selling 'better' insurance for Sky TV equipment but wanting bank details,  I'm unsure whether the whole Sky insurance thing is a scam anyway as have had similar calls in the past.  Seemed to know which bank we use, which is also worrying.  Of course, anything associated with Rupert Murdoch must be OK.

The one thing I like about this provider is that they do Tri-Yearly Policies unlike Sky Protect. I used to pay them £99 a year for my SkyHD Box, now I pay Home Solutions £180 for only 3 years! Now that's a rare bargain which is hard to come across in life! Basically you pay for 2 years and get the third year completely free! I wish they did things like this on car/life insurance, anyway thankyou Home Solutions and to Ronald who spoke to me!

Obviously a memeber of staff! from what I can gather these are yet another bunch of crooks intent on ripping off the elderly...avoid at all costs... Information on Directors to follow!

No doubt the agent asked who you bank with at some point in the call. If they have your bank details they have gained these illegally as is rife in this industry. Contact your local trading standards office.

I have had 3 phone calls from this company claimimg to save me money for Sky HD only i dont have Sky HD!!!! They asked me for my bank details & told me i would save on my insurance, When i phoned Sky they didnt have a clue what i was on about!! So my advice to any one who receives a call fron home soluitions please hang up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been contacted twice by this company, the second time was by a girl called laura. She was the most rude and obnoxious child ive ever had the pleasure of being harassed by.

I happen to know about the FSA and the rules these companies should abide by, this company happens to be trading illegally as they offer insurance! The speel i was given was downright lies.

Wife just received a call from these. Said we already had insurance with them which we haven't. Stay well clear, wanted our bank details to which my wife said that if they were looking at our account they should have them in front of us.

Just read all these after taking out a policy. do i need to cancel this or get in touch with my bank??

I was contacted at 11pm on a Friday night by someone calling from this company. By law you CANNOT call after 8pm, even 1 minute past 8 can get fined by trading standards up to 10,000. But 11PM that is just ludicrous.

Id say that this cowboy company is living on borrowed time.

Did they know your WHOLE card number or the readily available first 4 digits? If they had obtained bank details through nefarious means they would likely have already cleaned out your account, no one who has your bank details calls you to get them again! More likely they have identified which bank you use, they then read you the first 4 digits making it LOOK like they know your details and you then "confirm" the rest to them, signing yourself up.

Home Solutions are an organization of low lifes who try and scam old people out of money on the pretence of supplying Sky Box Insurance, Sky TV have confimed that they are in no way connected to this rip insurance company so please if you no of any elderly  people with Sky please warn them not to be taken in and just say no to them.

I had a call from these people and they were very convincing saying they could lower our insurance. they had all my card details and knew which bank i use so i thought that all was ok. I agreed to the change in insurance but then near the end of the call i started to feel i had maybe made a mistake. They phoned after a busy day at work and just as i was cooking dinner so i wasn't at my most sharp!.  After their call, and a little while of wondering and worrying, i checked my account to make sure all was in order then phoned my bank and explained the situation. They recommended that i cancel my card which I agreed with. They have now cancelled the card and listed my card as Lost/Stolen and are issuing a new one.  
i now feel a lot happier that i've involved them and cancelled the card. At least now i have peace of mind.

Just had a phonecall from "Richard" at Home Solutions telling me that they could lower my Sky Protect Insurance and they were endorsed by Sky.  He told me the first 4 digits of my bank card and then asked me for the rest of the number.  I refused to give this to him and have phoned Sky Protect to see if this was genuine.  Sky Protect DO NOT endorse this company so please do not give your card details to them over the phone.  The bloke who rang me was very convincing even though I would not tell him anything.  He couldn't even tell me whos name the Sky account was in.  BEWARE of this company and do not give them your card details.

obviously some1 who has been watching too much watchdog. sky themselves do not do a maintenance and repair plan, its all done by third party companies. Domestic and General who calls themselves Sky Protect are just another company and are not actually Sky! They pay Sky a six fugure sum anually just to use their name, thats why they are the only protection plan endorsed by Sky. Don't you understand that it penilises other third party companys offering the same level of cover?

ALL engineers are not offically "sky approved"< there is no such thing! They are all sub-contracted! If you switched your company over to Home Solutions and made a claim, you would have probably had the same engineer coming to your home address if you were still with Sky Protect! The only difference would that you would have been paying less with Home Solutions!?

These low life people conned my elderly, vulnerable mother out of £227, which she can ill afford.  I have contacted them several times to try to recover her money and spoken to Katy Lunny and James Purkiss both promising that her money would be returned.  On the second occasion when the money had not arrived they said they had changed bank accounts and there had been a delay and so they would pay the money direct to her account.  WE ARE STILL WAITING!!  Calls to the number no longer get through.  They have caused my mother a lot of misery.  I don't know how they can live with what they are doing.

u know its illegal 2 sell insurance over 1 year? no wonder its cheap. its not worth the paper its written on
