im confused i think this is a scam yet again like dh data.  ive recently applied for a job at this company i.e. albion computers.ata Entry Clerks / Customer Service Operators to work in our Guildford / Surrey offices asap.

No experience necessary as Full training will be given.

£10.00 PER HOUR.

Duties to include inputting data, Answering calls / Customer Service, Customer Enquiries & general admin duties.

40HRS Per Week Monday to Friday between 8AM - 4PM.

mine was in newcastle, ive had an e-mail asking to phone back, ive done that left a message nobody called me back.  im convinced this is not a genuine job.  i desperately need a job and i can't be [***] with time wasters scamming me at the moment.

This advert is also in the Portsmouth News,  Exactly same ad and also in Farnham Herald, same ad.

There is also some kind of chat going on about this on moneysavingexpert forum.

This job is also in the Telford Chronicle Newspaper.
I haven't applied for it yet; but if it's a scam then I'm not going to either.

I am now looking at the same advert in the Waveney Dvertiser in Lowestoft for Great Yarmouth and Norwich.

Always make me think twice when there is no company name on an advert, so i have Googled the number and behold it looks like it is every where.

It now appears in the Malvern Gazette.  No one pays any one £10 an hour for data entry.

This data entry job also on recruitment websites such as Reed.co.uk so I then thought could be legit oh please don't tell me it is not as I have too left Mark a message on 0800 6899008

Iv tried ringing this number so many times over the past week and no one is there! like you shaz i desperatly need the money and a job and i think its unfair that people can scam you like this.....

This is the message Mark or whoever is sent to me about an application on reed.co.uk for a job in Cumbria. He signs Albion Computer Services but this company is from London and the number obviously doesn't correspond.

Thought it was too good to be true

The same job is advertised as being local to cumbria... ring Mark etc etc. I knew there was something dodgy about this job so i entered the 0800 number into the internet and found this forum, i for one am not applying now. There is no way this job can be real. If this job has been advertised in pretty much every newspaper and website but you are being asked to ring the same guy how can he arrange for job placements and interviews to be held all over the country?? well if he can i certainly wouldn't like his job. There must be thousands of people ringing like Alex said surely this cant be legal and we can report it to somebody?!

Also advertised in Swansea and the same message comes back when you try to email. Got to be a scam.

i too have been ringing and ringing this number was advertised in stoke on trent,i to am so desperate to find work and they try and scam you think its pathetic.

Same here I was on the phone for an hour and they told me they were based in Swansea and to email cover letter and cv to a frank Jackson now I don't know what to think should I do it? It's based in lurgan

I applied to the same ad, they said they were based in Liverpool, rang them back and haven't had a reply. It's [***] [***]. No data clerk gets £10 an hour! It might be a scam to sell phone numbers on.

They are also advertising in Devon - same add.
Thought it was too good to be true so looked number up here.

We totally agree - must be a scam for this ad is far too good to be true!!  We found it in the Hereford Times and thought wow!! good money for data input.  Before phoning we put the number into Google and came up with all your comments.

I think everybody on here should consider reporting this to Watchdog as this is clearly not on, especially as its being advertised on reed.co.uk which to my inderstanding is the UK's biggest job site!

it is a scam, ive reported it to reed, the local job centre also the company which were involved in taking action against dh data last year, hopefully they will be taken of here. fcking [***] if you ask me, we need the money, they don't.  are there any genuine companies looking for staff these days, im dubious about applying for anything these days.
