    It's HSBC.
After my husband had an op on his eye he was unable to work for more than 6 weeks. Being self employed meant we could only have incapacity benefit and with me not working and with two kids we were skint. Not enough money was going into the bank and they started calling.
We had been out to the hospital for his check and came back to find 11 missed calls all in one afternoon. All from HSBC.
One morning they rang and i answered, went though the same old and put the phone down. 5 mins later they rang back, so i got very angry (and upset) as i found it very harrassing, tol them not to ring again or i would take action aginst them for the harrassment

Dozens of calls at all times of the day while I'm trying to work from 0800783422. If you answer they hang up. If you don't or if you hit busy on them they leave a sinister blank message on your answer phone.

And who is it? Nobody's favourite bank HSBC

You people are usurous scum, I graduated recently and am in the red but I always pay my bills on time. They upped by overdraft facility to 26% -> that should be illegal! I am earning very good money now and saving a lot. I'll be in the black by October but this harassment will never be forgotten...

I'm moving bank you [***] and when I get rich you won't see a penny of it!

This number calls me at least 6 times a day... Never actually speaks when and if I answer it, just a dead line, got a feeling it's one of those auto-dialer things!

Am I to report this to the police for harrasment?

I had the same calls twice from HSBC. They asked me if i there was any reason i went into overdraft this month, and asked me to go through discussing security questions first before telling me they just wanted to check if it was a one off. i said that sounded dubious, but said it's because my mortg payment came out earlier than i got paid. it's as if they are trying to hunt down who might be in trouble. the guy ended by asking if there was anything, anything at all i wanted to discuss with them. I said no, and asked if they had anything in particular they wanted to discuss with me. how annoying

I had a call today. The fast speaking lady was asking me about my post code number and about my credit card usage. I asked her - 'which bank do you represent?' - and then the call was disconnected. Very strange call - do the try to hack my account?
    Police should check them.

I keep getting calls from this number (even to my ex directory landline?)  Don't understand why they're calling me, though as I'm not overdrawn and don't have credit cards with them.

I can confirm it is HSBC. I just called My premier account manager and he said it's HSBC. Sometimes you can't hear the automated voice because their phone quality is so rubbish and you can't really hear it (they admit that themselves)

I wouldn't worry too much, its probably because you made an enquiry about a loan or mortgage quote. Or you owe them money....
