They keep phoning but hanging up as I answer! What the F**k!

I recently switched away from Eon and they have phoned me twice a day ever since, leaving ominous and subtly threatening messages about the 'power supply to the property'. One more and I'm calling the regulator to complain about pressure tactics.

Very good read; having started the process of changing supplier, sure enough I have got the calls on my mobile. I now recognise the number so have set call divert to go to the EON offices on +44(0)115 843 4147. Since my mobile is always with me, it is unlikely I'll miss any proper calls. What fun!

I'm glad to have found out the reason now why I have been getting missed calls every day from this number for the past week!.  I am also in process of changing supplier from E.on. Damn nuisance they are, and VERY expensive supplier, be glad to be rid!

Give some examples why they are expensive? Have you tried different tariffs.
Eon are the very cheapest for me. And trust me, whatever energy supplier you use, they will all contact you the same way when you leave.

Dave, examples of how they are expensive is that they charge more for the energy they provide.

N-Power have saved me over £300 in the past tear over E.on. But e.on still call and beg me to come back to them. 4 times on saturday evening!!

You obviously know nothing about the energy industry then! Eon will have better tariffs than npower, that I can guarantee.
Npower are one of the worst for customer services and mis selling also.

Keep getting calls from this number but I don't answer numbers I don't recognise.  They don't bother to leave a message, but opt for spamming my number for some reason (during work hours).
I'm also in the process of switching suppliers away from EON and from the comments already against this number here I'm guessing that this number is their retentions team.

I switched away from E-on, for the past 7 weeks I've been getting calls from either this number, or another, both during the day and particularly on Saturday mornings. I refuse to answer them - I am no longer a customer, all bills are paid, getting very fed up with this harassment!

Lets now make that 8 weeks of calls from this number to my mobile, and now they're also phoning my landline too. Of course, they could also have been phoning my landline all along, but since I'm usually out at work during that day, I wouldn't have known.
Might actually answer the next one (if it isn't during working hours!!) and tell them to leave me alone.

Yep, definitely E.On. I'm in the process of switching, and they kept calling and leaving a message saying there was a query on my account.

Hmmm... you've given me a freefone number to call back on so either you're giving me good customer service, or you want to sell me something. I wonder which?

The last message they left was one telling me that they could offer me a cheaper tariff.

Really E.On? If you can suddenly offer me a cheaper tariff now I'm leaving all that tells me is that you've been ripping me off for the last eighteen months.

I keep getting phone calls off this number also, i am currently moving from EON to British Gas. They ring every other day and they dont say anything just office noises.. i have recently sent a message to EON asking them (not politely) to stop ringing me, the stupid anusses!! :P

Yes, this is E.On.  We just switched away from them.  They will call non-stop for 1 month until they get through to try and stop you from switching.  Simply answer the call and tell them to bugger off and the calls stop.

Cheeky f**kers left a voicemail asking me to phone them back and it's the landlord here that deals with the services.

The same has just happened to me, not called them back though. I am switching so assume it is retentions.

This number called around 3.30 this afternoon. There was no answer when we picked up, and the the line went dead.

eon energy, looking to switch power suppliers. very nosey questions.

I am changing my supplier from E-ON as they are increasing my electricity supply yet again. They increased my bill in August 2011 and now going to increase it again in September 2011.

They have now phoned me twice trying to retain the supply contract.
