Apparently they are from the ministry of defence claiming that if I had any bank charges they could refund them up to £900. They were asking for my card number which I didn't give.

hi i recieved a call from a lady called sophie from capital plus  08008223880 saying her company could get back £700 from bank charges that were applied, she asked 4 my bank details and security card number i never gave her my security number, can u help me trace this  thanks

The same thing happpened to me.

Same to me- did the person have a Welsh accent? I think they should have more security checks when giving out 0800 numbers to these people.

i had the same just a min a go from someone called sophie saying i can get £2028 from  old bank ank cos i had my baby in 2004 she said they would take £159 for the court fre i gave her my addresss she asked for my bank but i started to but could cos it was not chip and pin  i have only have cash card so i hope my card ok

Well, these people aren't very good with their sums, combining bank changes with payment protection refunds, they could get me £25080 back! Too good to be true isn't it, I didn't even pay that much in payment protection!

The same thing happened to me, a woman calling herself sophie said she was calling from a company called capital plus and i'm entitiled to claim back £875, she wanted my card number and security number, i refused to give my security number, i have since phoned my bank and ordered a new card just in case.

I had a call from sophie @ capital plus also, claiming they could get me back my overdraft charges. They wanted an upfront admin charge of about £130 to send out the paper work needed to make the claim, i never gave them my bank details but did give them my postcode & house number before we got to the point of them asking for my bank details, now i'm concerned cause they have my name & address, should i be worried that they have my address?

i have been recieving numerous calls from this number saying they could get me a min of £500 of tax credits which are owed are owed!!
they are asking for a £70 fee for soliciters to write up legal docs!!!
i havnt give them any of my details!! but she did give me a website to look at!!! its ......

ive just checked them out with the ministry of justice and everything seems legit!!
they have them on there website and the capital plus reg number seems to be fine!!

scammers, they took £300+ from my cc account.

I decided to try claim back my charges and have recieved a pack through the post. Everything is fine and have also checked up on them with the minisrty of justice. all is ligitament.

i was a bit reluctant at first however after checking them out with ministry of justice i am fully satisfied that they arte ligit and am really happy as they got £800.00 worth of bank charges back for me. thank you capital plus.

I just had a call .. from a girl called Sophie, with a Welsh accent, then she put me on to her manager to comfirm. They knew all the details on my card, mt mobile numbers, home number, address, etc. so i hope it is legite. I dont think i have had any charges from the account that ive only had for a year, but apparently they can get me £250.

i recieved a call from a girl called sophie as well & they were asking for the same details got suspicious on them & asked them to call later.By this time did a google search on them and found something fishy about them, When she called me back, told her about my little investigation :-)

On seeing some of the positive comments above , suspect that ppl from that organisation are posting some positive comments about themselves..

Be Cautious everyone do not reveal any personal info to anyone whom you dont know.

yea ppl be very careful, these ppl called me last week, told them to holla at me next month, u no what they did. Took £148.99 from my account. I don't think i'm getting that back.

So anyone gets a call from them. get a new card and put a temp block on bank giro's.

what i wanna no is how did they get so much information........

i used to work for this company capital plus. and i tell all you now THERE IS NOTHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT!! everything is all fine! thay are regulated by the minitory of justice and not a goverment organisation (that was a mistake over phone) but what they do is calculate how much you are aloud back from bank charges, paymeny protection insurance and child tax credit (that is what they deal with) and instead of them taking a percentage at the back end of the claim they take a small fee for sols and docs of just 79.99 per claim!
all the details they ask you on the card is to make the payment (like people ask you for car insurance or buying anything else over the phone)

THEY DO NOT DO ANYTHING BAD! They ARE NOT ALOUD BECAUSE THEY ARE REGULATED BY THE MINITORY OF JUSTICE!!! the same as if car insurance is not aloud to add anything onto your insurance without you knowing!!!!

PLEASE DO NOT WORRY!!!! THE WEBSITE SHOWS YOU ALL!!
and i no everyone you have been talking about and they are all nice people and honestly wouldnt do nothing bad! They or the company is not aloud to take anything out of the account, UNTIL YOU SPEAK TO A QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER as he needs to know if it is ok with you first!!!!

hi i had a phone call withheld claiming that they could get me money back from bank charges and some child tax thing
i wanted to look up the company first as you do!
found everything was fine, did have some few comments like other ppl
desided to go ahead and could get back £2085
was abit worried but the money was already taken out!
anyway had packs took a while for some reasons
any i am very happy that 8 weeks on now i have my money back for the child tax credit :) i am just waiting for the bank charges

I recieved a call from a lady called sophie from capital plus  08008223880 saying her company could get back £293 from bank charges that were applied, she asked for my bank details and security card number just to check my identity,so I passed a card with no limit available. After all a called my credit card and found that she attempt 3 times to charge £590,£450 and £290. I have since phoned my bank and ordered a new card.  For sure Scammers be aware.

I also fall into the same trap. After giving my bank details on the ground that they wanted to confirm my address, I later realised that they deducted £79.99 twice and failed at the third attempt to do same. I'm now in the process of claiming back my money! This guys are very dubious and deceitful.
