Didn't answer but rang back out of curiosity. Recorded message said Western Union so I just hung up. Probably a scam

Had a call from this number saying I have had errors on my computer. I've had one before and knew it was a scam, so I asked for their telephone number for me to call them back, the caller got really arsey with me and eventually told me to get lost, haha!!!!

Just had a call from "Edward" from "IT Windows" with very Asian accent.  I was playing him along and he worked out quite quickly that I was winding him up (shame!) and hung up.

Unfortunately the 0800833833 shown is bona fide, but it's Western Union, so the scammers are doing the act of presenting a number that looks genuine, but clearly "IT Windows" is not Western Union....

called saying from Microsoft and were informing me off malware on my computer which would cause my PC to stop working completely very shortly, but if I logged on they would sort for me! Told him I didn't believe Microsoft would be calling me! He was very insistent, told him to call back when my hubbie was in! Did 1471 and rang the number and it was Western Union! Later that night they called again so I hung up, but they are very persistent!!

Told me they were from microsoft to which i replied i knew they were not. He said he could prove it and to turn my computer on. Talked shite about ip addresses etc. Im not easily fooled. Very persistent and i got bored of trying to wind the guy up so i hung up. Number is actually western union.

Told me I had a problem with my computer and I needed to turn it on. I asked whether I should tickle it or blow in its ear...this confused him so I gave him the old foxtrot oscar and hung up.

Same problem. These calls only started happening after a call to BT about my service. I have had dozens of these calls since, my question is " Is someone on BT helpdesk or within BT's system passing on telephone numbers to scammers ?" This has happened twice before and both times it was after speaking to BT's helpdesk the calls usualy stop after a couple of months.
