Silent calls

This has also happened to me over the last couple of weeks. I decided to complain tot the company via email. I did go ait ott and said if they do not stop I shall report them to the police for being a nuisance-haha. I rang and got my number deleted. I also got an instant reply from the company appologising, so i then replied and told them their appologie was accepted if they declined rining me. I also said that @this musten happen very often' which was sarcastis-childish i know but i wanted to emphasize how many people are fed up with it. Thanks for all the advise and hopefuly this wil stop them rining. Ill let u know if it works!! :)

i have about 10-20 calls a day from these low lifes when i did finally answer it, it was about a competition i entered on the net to win a car he said i was still in with a chance but then went on about some lottery and you gotta pay £11 a week (ye right) and they do all the luck star combinations possible on the euro millions when he tried asking me for my account number i told him where to go. DEFINATELY DODGY!!!

- Here is a tip on how to STOP these calls getting through! :

If your phone has a 'Blacklist' program, then simply put that number into this program.  Then, when the number calls next time, automatically your phone will cancel the call even before it rings.  The person who is phoning you will just hear a dead ringing tone.

You can search online to see if you can get the program for your particular make/model of phone.

I've been called by this number 10 times today! Been reading previous comments and the best way to stop these calls is to report them to OFCOM, failing that - spam them!

I used to work there, sadly. its not a scam. as a company Telegen have a pretty good reputation. it has a dozen high profile blue chip clients like AXA and Virgin. it employs C. 400 people and is one of the biggest employers in Brighton. Eurochance is owned by a massive german company called DTD. on the website we supply our company registered number so you can check them out. as to the guy 'Steve' who refused to give us his direct debit details listed above, your a grade A, two bob chump. tell me, when you do your shopping in ASDA, do you tell the assistant 'where to go' when she asks you to pay for your shopping? Its funny that when you buy a product we ask you to pay for it. would you prefer a nice risky credit card deal? with direct debit, we cant do squat without your say so.
The reason that you have do many silent calls is because people get calls in their ear, cant be bothered to speak to you and hang up instead. thats our bad practice. true. however, call the 0800 whatever number and you can permanently take your number of their database. No more more hassle, ever. hang up on them all the time, and our automated dialing system will keep calling and calling. so stop moaning and do something about it.

what is wrong with you people? call centers use an automated dialer. answer it, politely tell them you don't want calls anymore and its done! no more calls! if you don't, the machine will keep calling till you answer! the guy above is right to. if you want to buy something, expect to pay for it! dear go, use some brains people!

I think the last two contributors may have missed the point.  Many of us who have been plagued by Telegen have already asked them politely to stop, or have pressed "1" to take ourselves off their list, but it makes no difference - they still call. Please could the last two contributors suggest how to stop call centres who won't listen? It's no wonder that people are driven to complaining to OFCOM, and it's a pity, because Telegen are giving such a bad name to the call-centre industry. There are several hundred commments on "whocallsme" about this one company.  If only Telegen's bosses would read them, they might realise what bad publicity they are giving to the companies for whom they work.

I keep getting 'Silent' phone calls from this number, which i feel is a complete pest, when you go to answer your phone there is no-one on the other end. I am getting quite a few per day & it started approx 4 days ago & i would like it to stop immediately.

They are bugging me now, i aint signed up for nothing online, but they are persistantly telling me have, they are a persistant pain in (well you know what!) i will give em that. At least it's my mobile they keep calling so it must be costing em more to call me. i've asked them to take my number off their list but they obviously haven't. Euro lottery, eurochance 100 etc, it's the same number every time but they give a different name. It's time these people were Stopped!

i just rang it and got some answer machine, telemarketing on behalf of there Blue chip company, whoever that is???

this number calls often and rings off before i can answer, i dialled it back and found that it was a marketing company

We keep getting calls from Telegen. We are on the TPS and our number is not in the book. When we called back they said press 1 to get us off their data base.  It didnt make any difference and they keep ringing. My partner has now complained to Ofcom.  Anyone got any ideas how to stop these people?

Just put a complaint in about them again. Getting beyond a joke 4/5 calls per day when i look at my phone @ 5.00.

i just got a phonecall from this number saying they are going to do me for fraud? wtf... lol

Had a lot of calls from these people so I googled it and arrived here.  My story is the same as Alison, further up this page.   How can you stop a company that just won't listen?

I've had this number call me also about 5 times every day one even past 9 in the evening. i entered that Audi Car competition too maybe that was a bad idea then.. i've never answered the call seeing as i don't know who it is..
