i have just recently been reciving calls from this 0800 number i have yet to answer but from comments it seems it would be a waste of time answering any way but they are a real pain and calling twice a day they doing my head in :@ du they ever stop ????

pleasent girl said did I want to join a Lottery syndecat I said no, then said I had entered a drawer for a car I dont remeber then said she was recording the call.

am tired receiving call from watever it is

I'v been called constantly, everyday of the week for TWO weeks now from 08009121698! At reaaly stupid times like 11pm, 9pm and 7am today!!! It's driving me mad!!! when I answer I can't hear anything, when I don;t answer I recieve repeated calls throughtout the day!!! HELP!!!

Late night as well as daytime calls are coming in from this number. No one speaks.

I've had many of the experiences described above, e.g. calls I've answered which are dead lines, the Audi TT rubbish and repeated calls over sevral weeks.  Another one this morning which is four in a week.  Can't OfCom kill them?!

I haven't answered the calls from 08009121698 but having ignored 1 each day for the last 3 days I looked it up on-line and found this thread. I have just completed the Ofcom form and advise anyone else to do the same. Interesting reading here, especially the posts from Telegen UK LTD. Would anyone trust a company that hassles people to handle phone number deletion from their data base?

1. If you have signed up with TPS, then they are not supposed to call you, especially if you tell them you are registered with TPS during the conversation.

2. Normally, giving your number to someone like this just confirms your number is active. Just like replying to some spam e-mails.

3. If you don't recognize a number you don't have to answer your phone. If its important or from a friend a message will be left.

4. Telesale calls are annoying, whether legal or not and if enough is done by the recipients of these calls they would eventually stop. Although with TPS on my land line as well I still get some calls. Sometimes I say I'm not interested and hang up. Why feel bad or that your being rude. If someone you don't know calls you, especially if they are trying to sell you something, you don't have to speak to them or even be polite.

Alternativly, I tell the caller to hang on for a sec, put the phone down and leave it till they hang up. If enough people did this, telesale calls wouldn't be a cost effective option for any company.

The same with Junk mail. Apart from charity's, anything that comes through my door with a pre paid envelope finds itself in the post on its way back to the sender(s). If everyone did this, I reckon company's would stop because it wouldn't be cost effective and it would help reduce paper wastage as well.

Hi, I've got phone call from this number too many times, so I answer today, they say that I am win something.. ha ha ha , very funny, and then they want my account number as well sort code. I said just f**k off.. If I win, I wanna check on my address. What a naughy f***ckers.

I have received repeated calls from 08009121698 over the last few weeks, when I have answered there has been no response

Numerous calls no one there sometimes late at night

Apparently, if theres nobody on the other end when you answer its an automated call thats checking to see if the number is active & at what time you answered. This is then used to contact you in the future when you are most likely to answer your phone.

Anyway, if you don't know who a caller is, why answer your phone? As I said before, if its important, about work or a friend of a friend they will leave a message.

Since my original post I have still received a call a day from this number and am registered with TPS !!

Have received unsolicited calls from this number despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service.

Iv just had my first one and looked up the company by doing a google on the number and found all these comments.  Bloody hell. I too have done competitions from facebook.

I called the number back as I am waiting to here about a number of job opportunities, so I am answering to all numbers.
