Got two of these calls today, didnt answer either, but funnily enough I got a quote from morethan yesterday. Which wasn't competitive, infact it was stupid and has put me off ever thinking of going to them ever, it was £750, compared to regular quote I am getting of around £250!!!

ive vowed never to use Swinton Collonade again after getting blank calls from them day after day after day, theve given up FINALLY after the indian got a mouth full one time when they were actually there. It seems morethan are trying this desperate last ditch effort too, so there now on my AVOID FOREVER list.

Unfortunately it was an automated AMERICAN voice confirming my number... oh dear,,, now whos got my fkin number....

I went on Money Supermarket and this is where More Than have got the number from. Like the others when I have answered there has been no reply. When someone did actually speak I started speaking and they ended the call.

Easy solution I addded them to my reject calls list thanks to my new phone-have a look on yours for this feature!!! In future just put a fake number when you are filling out details on Money Supermarket (one that is totally invalid so that some other poor person doean't get your silent call)and other price comparison websites and would never put my home number.

Same again, I got MORE THAN - after a pause, and background noise and laughing... sounded like a prank call... I just said no we're fine thanks, followed by more noise and laughing before they hung up!
Maybe it's best to report them to MORE THAN themselves, as I don't think it really is them... then I guess it gets dealt with a bit higher up ;)

I asked for an online quote. I did not take up quote as T&C were not to my liking. Since then I have been called 5 times in 2 days.
It would appear More Than are using information from refused quote to pester me with sales calls.
Will phone 0800 952 4871 and hope it stops.
Why this company ID's as a FREEPHONE number which is never answered is puzzling. I thought these numbers were only used for CONSUMER ENQUIRIES?

I've had this number call me several times as well, but didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number (I knew it would be a marketing call) so googles the number and not surprised I'm the only one!

Very easy to stop these calls - and here's how:  ring the 0800 number back and you'll get a recorded message giving you an alternative 0800 number (0800 952 4871).  Ring this one, and you'll have the option of removing your tel no from their call list.

Shouldn't really have to do all this, but it seems to have solved the problem.

I work for Royal & Sun Alliance who underwrite and 'own' sort of More Than. I am happy to pass on the CEO's address if anybody wants it. Because strangely this happened to me!!!!!

The annoying thing is that they never get to talk to you. They just hang up or something the moment you pick the call. Very bad PR for the company.

Hope they stop disburbing me.

I've received 2 calls a day for the last 3 days from these people. It must be from a quote i did online for Home Insurance by Royal Sun Alliance, through Swinton website. Haven't answered as i never answer numbers i don't know, so i'm hoping they will get bored and go away...

I've only had one call from them this afternoon, but if they call again I'll try that other number so get removed. Funny this - I got a pet insurance quote yesterday.

I complained to the Information Commissioner, who is the correct person to complain to. It's a hassle, but worth it if it gets them a scalding for it. Check out the web address:

If you don’t want to get calls from sales and marketing firms, you can add your details to a list, run by the Telephone Preference Service, which makes it illegal for a company to call you for marketing purposes in the future.

I got an insurance policy with them for my new car today and they keep ringing me for no apparant reason ... if this continues their policy will be cancelled in my 14days right to cancel!

keep getting calls from this number - phone goes dead when answered

I am registered with the 'No marketing calls" with BT and specifically did the "Do not post me anything, do not email me and do not call me" thing when I got an online insurance quote from More Than.

Next day my answerphone is full of calls (with no messages) from this number.

Do not get a quote from these people.
