We've been pestered by this number too. I dialled this number and got the O2 customer services. From the amateur, incorrect grammar and general uselessness of the caller I believe its either sales apprentice training from O2 or someone is spoofing the O2 service. Either way, O2 should do something about this and I will certainly be changing my network supplier from them soon.

Same thing - Trying to be O2 and extracting info / 'selling' tablets at '50%' off.
    Somehow I doubt it.

It comes from one of o2's affiliates, not o2 itself. Took me 70 minutes and 4 members of staff to get this confirmed. Wanted me to buy a tablet deal. Rather than ask me if I wanted it, they told me about it and then tried to just take all my card details. Turned my phone off at that point.
    • Caller: An affiliate of o2

You do realize that when you take out. Contract they HAVE to take a few pence from your account to make sure you are you and that your account can take a direct debit right? Like that's common knowledge, the money goes back in within a few hours I used to work for o2. So yeah it could have just been an agent such as convergys that Work in sales for o2 that's why they wouldn't know the number

Or you could just answer and ask them to put you on their no callback list. They have to by law if you ask
