- Rebecca ThomasLove this site. Missed a call from this number yesterday and have so much going on as I am currently moving house I almost just redialled, thinking it was one of the companies I'd call calling back re my change of address. Decided to look here first and thank god I did. I have Panasonic phones with a call barring function, so this number is now in there :-)
- HawayahinneyGetting a few calls a day from these donkeys: a bloke called "Jack" . . . . . They first rang about a week ago. Have got some paperwork from them. May return it in an unstamped envelope then they will have pay through the nose to go and get it from the P.O.
I''ll ask them where they got my number from and I might be interested: tee-hee! (But not really though, eh).

- NettyHad a call from that number a while ago asking for my hubby. Asked who was calling and the young lady said it was just a public awareness call. Told her that wasn't what I'd asked for and besides the person she's asking for wasn't here. She said she would call back another time and I told her politely not to as I hadn't authorised for her company to ring this number, I was x-dir and registered with TPS and didn't want anyone else from her company to ring this number again.
Don't know how they got our landline number as we don't give it out to any companies and we don't do surveys online or otherwise.- Caller: Not known

- I don't know my own nameReceived call from them, heard call centre noises (unclear if fake (recorded) or real) but no-one spoke to me and then they hung off. Sounds like I got off lightly.

- I don't know my own name replies to ooI don't have Sky and never will, but my details seem to be with Sky as they've been sending me stuff trying to sell their crap to me. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Sky were passing/selling people's details onto other companies.

- DaveCalled looking for someone else in household, went on about something to do with debts, etc. Very noisy line, sounded like he was calling from a school playground whilst waiting to pick up his kid or something. Based on this call and the comments about this on this excellent website, I think these guys are right cowboys and should be shown the door immediately without a call being made for a taxi for them.

- NettySuprise suprise - they didn't take any notice of me when they rang on 10/11/11 and I asked them not to ring again!
Just had the number call, but ask for me this time. She introduced herself as ringing from Consortium and are regulated by the Ministry of Justice. As soon as I heard that and before she could continue, I said to her if she was going to sprout off about reclaiming PPI not to waste her breath as I wasn't interested. She then went on to say that my hubby (she called him by his first name) had filled in an online survey about credit cards and I advised her we didn't have any. "What, not even in the last 12 years?" she asked. Nope I replied. "Oh well the details on the survey said you had. Maybe it's because you're a homeowner?" Nope. "Oh you rent. Well have you had a personal loan in the last 12 years?" I replied that I had but I had already claimed on it. "Oh well, there's nothing we can do for you. I'll ensure we take your number off our list and not contact you again." I replied "Thank God for that!" and ended the call.
Will these people never give up? Grrr! I'll expect another call from them in a few days time. I'll not be so polite on the next call!- Caller: Consortium

- Alan Jay replies to JackAre we expected to believe that this writer is not connected with the company with the dubious selling techniques?
- joolsemThese people have been calling me, off and on, for the last month or so. I don't have caller display so I answer each time. I have told them they should not call because I am registered with the TPS but they just steam roller ahead. They say I have been referred to them by Consumer Lifestyle (never heard of them) and tell me my credit card no longer complies with the law. I told them I would report them to the police and put the phone down. The police were quite interested and even referred me to this site! I am glad they did because, even if nothing comes of it, I really don't feel so alone, now! The police also recommended that I report them to Trading Standards which I shall do. Perhaps if we all do, it might make a difference? I am so sick of their calls. Just wish they would disappear.

- waspyNumber just called me some stupid [***] cackling with her "colleague" almost bursting my eardrum ignored my hello and then hung up on me...reading the comments here am glad she did to be honest. I am registered with the TPS and i'm amazed some people let them steam roller ahead with their bullcrap, Either tell them to [***] or hang up yourself don't let these people invade your personal space. The way I handle these cold callers normally winds up with THEM hanging up on ME....this stupid unprofessional wench though really did hurt my ear though shame my phone company does not have caller id or else i'd blow a horn down the phone on them next time the *******!!
- Hazel FairyJust had a call from this number; man with a Welsh accent. When questioned gave his name as MATTHEW MORGAN asked to speak to my mother. I asked to take a message but said he would call back. Claimed it was "not a cold call" and seemed speechless when I pointed out that as this was an unsolicited call then it was, in fact, a cold call. Claimed he was raising awareness of a 'government initiative' which is a laugh as I have family members working for the government so know his claims to be untrue.
Do not give an inch with these people, they're nuisances at best... scammers at worst!- Caller: Consortium

- KayThey just phoned me as I'm expecting another company to call me back I answered them (normally I ignore numbers I don't recognise) He knew my name and he said he was from Consortium and that I had filled in an online credit survey - I said I hadn't - but he just continued. I then just made up a lot of stuff about my mortgage as I realised it was just a sales pitch for something then he spieled off a whole load of stuff about misselling and that I could claim up to £50,000 for being missold my Halifax Mortgage. By then I was fed up and said I worked for the halifax and would hardly have missold my own mortgage to myself. He then aplogised for calling and hung up.

- ericsome of these comments are so ridiculous, some of you seriously need to get a grip at the end of the day taking it out on the person that has phoned you is just flat out rude and unnecessary, these people are just trying to do there job that they have been instructed to do and trying to make a living. Is it really justified by giving them abuse and bad language down the phone??? they could have children and have to provide for them, put food on the table, clothe them and if you people havent realised christmas is coming up and would like to buy them nice things. if you don't want there services then just say no thank you, what is the harm in being polite????

- MikeReceived polite call from girl with Welsh accent, asking for me by name. Referred to a previous discussion with one of her colleagues which I'd not had, and also mentioned a credit agreement. I stated that I didn't have any, but was questioned if I'd had any in the past ten years, which I'd not, she apologised, and stated that they would correct their records.
(My wife did say however they they have called on occasions in the past. I am registered with the TPS.)
Was a little concerned as to what details they had - hence a search on Google, which led me to this web-site and other sources. The company appears genuine, but they ought not to have had my details.- Caller: Consumer Lifestyles
- onmysoapbox replies to PicklesI have read loads of comments like this, I am ex-directory.... I am on the TPS!!!
If you do not wish to be called, do not give your number out.
There is always a tick-box on the bottom of EVERY application form to give permission to sell-on your details, unfortunately the default is unticked.... ie. They CAN sell your contact details. - Gill1967Spoke to a man called Ethan yesterday, claiming he's calling on behalf of consumer lifestyle. They ring me at-least twice a week and I really am getting fed up of it. It's the same bloke all the time too!

- RichardJust had a call from this number: the line went dead when I picked up.
It's odd because if they cleaned their list through TPS they'd know I had expressly refused permission to scumbags like this to cold call me- Call type: Telemarketer
- Kenny Calderwoodthis person keeps calling my house even though I am ex directory and it is my wife who answers the phone when I'm not in, she has told them they should not be calling and they said that they are allowed to call my number and will keep calling.
