- orbitJust received a call from CLC Resorts & Hotels saying I have won a free holiday for 4 for entering a survey 6-12 months ago (which I do not remember doing). Googling the name brings up many stories of this being a guise to hardsell a timeshare.

- MarcusCalled from 01268885650 after doing an on-the-street questionaire a couple of weeks ago. Told that I'd been "lucky" to be chosen as a winner of a holiday for four in the UK or Europe that could be taken any time in the next 18 months. No mention made of time share. Given the number 08009889901 to call and a reference number. Googled for the number and found this site. Thanks. I won't be bothering.
- KP0905I too have just received a call to tell me I had won a holiday and to ring 0800 9889901 to claim my prize. I did complete a survey and was told I would be entered into a free prize draw to win a holiday! At the end of the survey I was given a slip of paper and on the back it states the closing date for the competition is 29th June!
I asked the caller if it was anything to do with timeshare and very cagey she answered 'well yes we are connected to timeshare but you don't have to commit or sign up to anything' Yeah right! I won't be calling the number to claim my prize. - JamesSame thing - filled out a form at an airport. The guy did not care much at the time about specific details - just phone number and postcode and getting as many people as possible. When I got the phone call I asked him what the catch was and he tried to sound excited and said that there wasn't.
Of course I then googled it and brought up this. I suspected something was up as the guy had an Australian accent, sounded really thick and was basically reading the scam off a piece of paper. He was not helped by the fact that there was the loud noise of the call centre going on behind him, full of all the other evil nozzers that were doing this to other people of the Joe Public!!
I actually at first thought that the phone number was the scam = ie being charged a stupid rate for calling it. However I recognised the 0800 freephone start so knew it had to go deeper than this.
Victory to the prudent! - Withheldjust got a call from from a girl saying that I filled in a form on my offers.com which i dont recall doing. Claiming I had a won a price of a free holiday and all I had to do was ring 08009889904 quoting ref number 6219. When asked what was the catch she said " there is a booking fee of £29" then i asked is it invloving timeshare and she said " we do have connections with time share but you don't have to take part in any of our offers.
I hate these companies and not really sure how they got my number. - VickiGot a call saying I'd won a holiday after filing in a survey.
Rang the number and gave the ref number but because not over 25 I'm unable to be put forward for the promotion! haha glad I googled the number and saw this! - PipI got called with this number today saying I had to call them back and give the quote 19RoyalShow. Glad I googled the number first. I won't be giving them a call. Thank you people.
- SteveLast Sunday Brands Hatch, girl with a questionnaire, today I've won a holiday for 4. Imagine my dismay that all my holiday entitlements for this and every other year are all used up not looking at timeshare (ever). If anybody wants to go instead of me you can have it for a fiver.
- mattWe just got a call, then we were directed to call the frephone 08009889901 and its trying to sell a timeshare. They give you a small holiday for free if you go to the presentation about a timeshare. Not worth the hassle!

- Denis LK, HertfordshireI had the same experience of all your comments above on this 'win' last night, having entered a prize draw at the Alexandra Palace Motorcycle show. I too won't be attending the exhibition. I didn't know about the exhibition - they said I needed to go to Tottenham Court Road to prove my identity. They have also upped the ante, as they said I would receive a £50 Argos/John Lewis voucher for attending - this is when I googled their telephone number, and found out about the timeshare scam.
