Filled in a survey in Faro a few weeks ago and got a few missed calls on my phone from the 01268 number. I decided to google it a few days ago and stumbled upon this website. I decided to pick up the phone a few minutes ago to tell them to 'F' off but couldn't scream at the guy because I'm at work. He told me I've won a holiday. He wondered why I didn't sound too happy, I just thought 'because I know it's a scam that's why'. He gave me the 0800 number with a ref. of 22Faro in case anyone wants it, cos I definitely won't be calling.01268855 No doubt I'll get a call asking me why I haven't called the freephone number. I'll give him/her a piece of my mind then! BEWARE, IT'S A SCAM!
Ps. I tried calling the number back, but it was unavailable.

I really dont understand all you people's problem. I went to one of the meeting's today, when they asked did we want to join there holiday club, i said no - i got 50 pound in vouchers and my holiday! I shock the man's hand and me and my husband left - I look on this website yest, but i thought - no i won't listen to a small no. of people - Im so happy i ignored you all - it's worth 2 hours out of my day anytime!

Exactly the same here, and a friend of mine who fell for the whole scam. In order to book your "free" holiday you have to attend a high pressure sales seminar AND pay a booking fee (not a free holiday if you ask me). Very gruff woman on the phone - at least they should employ staff who can have a bit of banter and try to talk you around.

My friend ended up paying £3000 (he says) to join this holiday club which makes no connection with the company my wife filled in the survey with. The survey was with 2minutedraw.com (in conjunction with Discover GB) offering a prize of an all inclusive holiday for 4 to the Caribbean, Mexico or Florida. Then "la costa club" or "us" as the telephone attendant first responded when i asked who they were phone back with a self catering holiday in Grand Canaria - hardly stimulating!

Needless to say I won't be making the trip to London for the "presentation"... scams like this should be made illegal.

my mates been on a few of these they go to a presentation and if you remain firm and dontsay yes to whatever they try to sell you do get the holiday. she goes abroad every year ..very cheaply

a man ucall me this morning and told me that i was complity a survay on the net that it's true. and give to me a code ..askme to ring 08009889904 and fix the appointment ...mm a littlebit strange ask me if i was home owner ..for me it's a scam especially after i read all this review ..thanx to everyone the lady u called me said she was african and her name is emily ..bah  man call me this mornin u win a free holiday for 4 people ..very like , he

Well CLC found another pair of gullable people.  Rang my missus mob and the choice of holiday etc.  Makes so much more sense now, why were we asked age and marital status....hmmmm.  Really gutted as girlf was so happy and had to break the news to her.  God bless the internet for saving our blushes further! Points made for the future for these scams....1) booking fees! WTF, should have twigged immediately! 2) phone above number - Whys that then? Got to get off the phone asap to con some other unlucky sap?!  3) Realise that the only person thats going to pay for my next holiday is me! 4) finally convince my girlf not to fill in all those competions at the airport/supermarket etc.

I went to one of the meeting's on the weekend!! got vouchers and holiday!! Sales team were friendly, even when i refused to buy or join anything!! My advice to you all - Go, get your holiday - Stop listening to others who havent even attended meetings, their just peed cos they didnt have da balls too go and say no! It was worth 2 hours of my weekend!

I was asked to fill in a survey at Malaga Airport recently.  I have just received a phone call from 01268 557600 asking me to phone 0800 988 9904 to give my reference number "07" !! and answer a "few security questions" and that I had won a week's holiday in a luxury hotel in Europe or a long UK Break for 4 people.  Obviously sounded too good to be true so I went on the internet to find that it was too good to be true!  Oh well! .

Stopped by a lady carryoing out a survey at Manchester airport prior to checking in for our flight on 08 Sept 08. Thought the survey was about the airport/flights so completed it in a rush while husband queued to check us in. My mobile registered several missed calls while I was in Corfu from 01268557600 and 'unknown caller'. I would never pick up mobile calls - especially ones I don't recognise, while abroad. I have just had two more calls today so I answered the unknown one - guess what !! I have won a holiday for 4 with free flights & accommodation to be used in the next 12 months. Guess how I arrange to collect my ticket!  Right..... phone 08009889904. Good job I wasn't born yesterday eh?

Got a call today from the same jokers telling me that I won a holiday. I was instructed to call 08009889904 to claim my free holiday.

I received over 30 calls from 01268557600 and finally I decided to pick up the call.  Spoke to a very nice person called Kylie, who reminded me of the survey I completed whilst at the airport in August - Of course, I had already googled this number as I found it really strange that when I redialed the number it was unobtainable so was immediately on the defensive.  Hmm I thought - a lovely holiday would do nicely in the current climate!  Anyhow, advised poor Kylie that I wasnt interested and thanked her for the persistent calls, to which she eloquently retorted "Fine, I will give your money to someone else then" and hung up!  Rude rude rude!  I guess its gameful employment for these people, but who do they think they are - more to the point, do they really think we are stupid enough to call the 0800 number?!?!?!  For those few who deem this to be a legitimate number and have benefitted with success on these scams, well done, but for the vast majority it is no more than a very expensive way to holiday!  Warnings, absolutely!

Just received the call from 01268557600. Thanks for all the warnings. Gave me a code and said I had to ring immediately. Thought it was a scam as I could hear so many simultaneous calls in the background!

I have received a phonecall from this number, the person I spoke to represented himself as James Edwards, he didn't sound very convincing when spelling his own name, saying I won holliday to Antalia. I rang the 800 number, the lady asked me to come to Totenham Court Road London to choose my "holiday". I googled the number and BINGO! Thanks to everybody writing here!

I thought the law had changed so that they couldn't do this kind of thing anymore?

Anyway, yes, I got a call from 01268555095, from a convincing young man saying I had wone a holiday, not the first prize, sadly, which was one by a couple in St. Ives, and to call freephone 08009889904. Being naturally cynical, I said "what's the catch" and he said the only catch if I wanted to call it that was that we would at some stage two weeks before the holiday pay 29 pounds per person for some tax.

I don't think I'll bother phoning the 0800 number, lol!

Got a phone call from a very politely spoken woman telling me I had won a free holiday after completing a questionnaire at Bourgas airport.  And I was to call a free phone number to claim my free holiday.  I never called it and won't be either.   Oh and if I was quick and called within the hour I would get £50 worth of Vouchers!!

Why on earth if you have won a free holiday would you need to call another number to claim it.  If I had a business I wouldn't be employing people just to call up the winners to only tell them to call another number to speak to someone else!!

recived calls from same number as above ,its a scam do not go to the meetings,
time share nothing for nothing remember ,any other coments tat do not say as much are scammers to trying to get you to go to a meeting, if you had realy won they would send the tickets to the address on the form without any pain

Received a call last week telling me I had won a holiday as I had been pulled out of a prize draw for completing a survey on 23/09 in Alicante Airport. I dialled 1471 and the number came up as 01268 557600.  I was told to call 0800 9889904 to claim my prize.  Having read your other emails this would appear be some sort of scam.
