I keep getting phone calls from the number

Missed call from this unknown number

Courtesy call from Vodafone

I got a call from this number this afternoon. Guy asked for my PIN number. Refused. He then asked for my DOB. I Refused and hung up. Called Vodaphone this evening - It wasn't them calling on 08080600832 ???

This person perported to be from Vodafone and wanted to supply a new phone ?
Having gone onto the Vodafone site, we find they do not do the fone that they have said they are going to supply.
Should I be worried ?

Just answered a call from a similar number (08080600702), the man claimed to be from Vodafone. and asked me to confirm my details for security reasons before proceeding. I said if they were vodafone they would already know my details and that I would never give out my details to a cold caller!.
I asked what the call was regarding, and they said it was a courtesy call to see if I was happy on my current tarriff and If I wanted to change, I pointed out that I had only had my current tarriff for 2 months and was locked in for 2 years and that if they were really vodafone they would know this!... they terminated the call!!

Mrs Jones A few years ago I had a simular call and agreed to the new phone handset. when I recieved it it wasnt a great phone so I phoned Vodafone to say I wanted to cancel the new contract, and they said that it was not them that had phoned but an unrelated company, who make there money by getting commission from getting people to renew their contract (locking them in for another term).
This company is not related to vodafone or employed by them.

This is a genuine Vodafone telesales number, they phone users of Vodafone up after their contracts have expired to see if they would like to upgrade ?
The pin No. is just a user pin No. for the phone ?

Hi, I have just spoken with Vodafone and they said the call was a genuine one, so hopefully I will have a new phone soon as mines a little tired right now.

Just got a call from this number. Guys (with convincing background office notice) says he is from vodaphone. Asks me to confirm my password to confirm who I was. I asked him, "how do I know who you are", to which he replied "I will tell you your date of birth, after you confirm your password". We I said I would not do that, he just said ok goodbye.

Look out.

I have also called Vadofone and confirmed that this legit number relating to them trying to get you to upgrade etc.
I was not pleased with the way they (the caller) asked for my password information. So I am changing providers. Been with them for 10years. sort it out vodafone.

mine was a missed call  there are loads off possibilities like it could have been a non-uk number trying to get your money it could have been phonejacker which is unlikely but if he said he was ugandan and his name is george adwingo he is phonejacker

It's not a ligit number. Just had the call, and asked my partner who works at vodafone what its about, after seeing on here that it might be vodafone. He checked the number and confirmed it was a scam from a 3rd party company which dials random numbers in the vodafone range. Hope this helps.

just had a call from this number, got the usual silence due to the automated computerised caller system, then  someone said hello, and then they said
#they have some good news about my phone" and then asked me to confirm my address and mobile number.

I said no thanks, and refused to give any further details, they then said they couldn't continue and hung up.

If vodafone do have a good deal for you, call them yourself to be sure you are talking to vodafone.

fed up with these calls. never answer them. If it was important thet would leave a message

I have had this number call me every day for the last week, I dont answer calls that are not in my phone book so i dont know who it is.
It could possibly be Vodafone as i have just changed my contract within the last month.
If its important they can leave a message.

Had two calls from this number - no message left - irritating!

Three calls today from this number - no message left at all.

Recieved several calls from this number. Not answered any of them. Feels vaguely threatening, if I'm honest - they won't give up.

I got a call from this number, bloke sounded like he was on the side of a road and called at 7.22pm, just don't think its vodaphone

Had call from 08080600832 and 08080000133, noone spoke!
