This number contacted me about an overdue account with MTN, I belong to Vodacom....
No response when I tried calling back.

Telling me to pay at ABSA Bank, account 4063304150

Yeah rite!

I received a sms from this number stating that my MTN aCc is overdue and I have to pay R220.40 to ABSA acc 4063304150. From MTNSP. But my account is not overdue and my monthly premium is more than that amount.

On mine they got the ammount right probably someone working at mtn trying to enrich themselves

Fraudster - suspected.
Requesting overdue MTN acount payment amount to be paid into their ABSA account, no 40633004150. all my payments are by debit order.
Please trace and stop this person.

I just received the same SMS asking to pay R530. Seems like fraud

Same story - asking me to pay my overdue MTN account to the same ABSA account same account num as mentioned above.

What scares me is that this person knows how much I pay for my MTN account... Could it be someone from MTN itself?? One of the call centre agents that has access to customers information?

This is without doubt some kinda scam.  I got an SMS...one saying my roaming service has been successfully added "as requested"....which I hadn't requested. It states that my "credit limit will not apply while roaming".

What is even stranger is that the account number they give you is actually MTN's account number. I get so angry when people do things like this.
