- MarkHaven't answered this one, but they've phoned 4 times today! I'm TPS registered, so I never answer unknown numbers unless I'm expecting a call. Bit worried about the first post re fraud being committed in my name - how does that person know this?

- Annoyed!called twice, Indian gentleman both times. Asked to speak to me by name. First call was for "market research", second caller didn't get that far.
- anonThis number calls 3 or 4 times a Day but only rings 3 times, I managed to answer it only for them to hang up.... so bloody annoying. I am going to ring Sky complaints department!!!

- TracyIve had two missed calls today and like said they ring 3 times then hang up, i have just called sky and they said that its not them, it would be logged and that they have had a quite a few calls asking the same question. Whats the point in having your number hidden if they ell them on to companys. arrgghhh
- Kev| 2 repliesIf you call the number, you get a recorded message from "Careline Services Ltd on behalf of Sky" saying the call was made by one of their agents, and to call 0208 495 8123 to stop further calls.
No fraud, no scam, just someone trying to sell you something. Lots of automated machines ring numbers until someone answers and then it pass the call over to a sales person. However, if all their sales people are busy, then you get silence.

- R2D2This call is from SKY. They are cold-calling customers (in my case to sell Sky Talk). Details:
Received a call from this number (17.11.09).
The chap said he was calling from Sky, and wanted to speak to me about my broadband.
Then went on to ask security questions (mothers maiden name, postcode etc) which I refused to answer. When I probed, he said his team has been setup recently to handle specific customer migration events.
He then said he has all my details (including which Sky Channels I subscribe to) and asked for 1-2 letters of the security Q answers. This I agreed to, and gave him.
He then tried to sell me the Sky Talk offer. (My Broadband price is due increase in 2010, and it will stay the same if I take Sky Talk). - DaveMajHad this number calling me since the weekend, at least three times a day, driving me crazy! The one time I did answer he asked for me by name, then when i asked who he was the line went dead, although it did sound like some sort of call centre in the background, I am with Sky so it would make sense if it was them, they're always trying to sell you something else!!

- Suzie NicholsI finally spoke to someone after 3 days of silent calls. Claimed they were from Sky and were trying to get me to sign up to extra movies over Christmas. I declined as he seemed unsure of what package I was actually on and I was pretty wary anyway. I complained to OFCOM and to Sky about the silent calls- if the caller wasn't actually from Sky I thought they ought to know about it! Anyway got a reply today apologising and saying that I wouldn't get any more marketing calls, but it could take 6 weeks to take me off the list!They totally missed the point of my complaint that silent calls are nuisance calls and so I replied stressing my point again and pointed them at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/media/news/2006/03/nr_20060301
I also said that if I get anymore silent calls I will not hesitate in complaining to OFCOM again!- Caller: Sky
- BasildonMe too!! this number calls me every day silent call then hangs up, I too am on TPS and complained to them as getting many 0845 and 08433 calls and I am ex directory?? I am going to contact Sky as no-one has spoken when they have called.

- ronI have also had these call stating they are careline for sky and if i didn't wish to receive these calls to ring 02084958123 and leave name , address phone number and post code then got message that it couldn't be activated and to ring back later. What a clever ploy so that they can ring you back claiming to be sky and have with your details so you can upgrade then when you agree they will ask for your bank details. enough said

they are an outsourcing marketing company, they do not just work for Sky but for many other companies.
As Sky are doing a big broadband marketing campaign, however, I suspect it was them in my case. I have just received a lot of marketing literature through the post.- Caller: ?
