seriously this caller has called like 5times a day i dont pick up cause i know itll be spam but serious can they just stop already x__x go annoy someone else- they never leave a message so why call so much each day GET THE HINT its really irritating!

had so many calls from this number it beggars belief, 9 calls today alone. not answered any of them, should i call my service provider to block calls from this no??

Let's all find the real number and then phone them back all day long !
Pain in the back side... been going on for over a year now..
I was sure it was a computer was phoning but i have a callblocker where you need to press number 5 for my phone to ring..  so must be a person on the other end phoning.

we get around 10 calls a day from this number, starting as early as 9am on Sunday mornings to as late as 9.00pm in the week.
They are a pain in the [***] and as we're ex directory, I wonder where they got our number from (They have asked for my husband so know our famly name)

Just called this number and it says they are first assist on behalf on the halifax.  it claims the call was non urgent and they will call again.
it also says if you don't want to be called then phone them on 0844 5811015 . . . .  just called it, we'll see what happens (they do say it will take 48 hours)

Received a call from them a few days back - told them I wasn't interested.  They've just phoned again but I didn't answer the call as am in the office.  If they call again I will be informing them that any further calls will be considered nuisance calls and that my mobile operator have been instructed to contact the police if these calls persist.

Getting calls from this number 2/3 times a day. If you answer they hang up. If it goes to ansaphone they ring off. It is driving me nuts!

really anoyed now must have been 20th phone call tonight.
spoke to them once wanted my husband. they always seem to ring when
i'm busy.
anyone know how to make them stop.

If you do here how to stop it please post! I get nightly calls from this number. I just ignore it but it is annoying all the same - not once have they left a message on the answering machine.

This number just phoned me. Glad I didn't answer........How do thry have my phone number? This is the 2nd phone unsolicited call in the last hour

I am receiving around 4 a days in the past two months and they are driving me crazy. when I pick up the line goes dead. I have a young baby and the phone wakens her up. don't mind if it was my family or friends considering that I'm having to pay for the privelige of having my phone and then get pestered by phone calls. I do also get other times where I pick up and it has been a non british accent telling me they are phoning to verify me! don't need verified in any way but I think that this is just their way of adding to info. they have about a person.

Have been calling repeatedly from 8/12/08 to 10/12/08 - we did not respond

Another 2 calls today from this number, both within 1 hour, both went unanswered...... maybe they'll take the hint?

this number 0844 581 0316 has been repeatedly calling for the last 3 weeks, there surely MUST be somehow that we can STOP these calls coming, i am with BT's TPS, this does not help, why should we pay to call a number to get these idiots to stop calling, i get at least 3 calls a day M-F at peak TV viewing times, which is probably when they have been trained to call! i will be contacting Halifax to find how Y they have passed on my details & HWO authorised it, if i want to take out whatever insurance i will call THEM.... and i certainly do not want to be harassed in my home by people or machines. nor do i want to be verified, I know who i am !!!!!!

Added this number to my reject list on my phone- i.e. whenever it calls it cuts them off straight away. first time they called i missed it and called the number back out of curiosity. got a welcome to first assist part of the halifax group message so i hung up content in the knowledge they are cold callers. I hate 0845 numbers calling me all the time. seriously, where do they get off? AHHHHH!!!!

we also have been getting this nuisance calls-- so i got the  First Assist numbers from  SAY NO FROM 0870 WEB SITE (www.saynoto0870.co.uk)this web site gives all the local numbers and The site lists many well known companies, and their equivalent geographical numbers .so the f.a local number is  02086521313
i called them gave them my anger and they said they will remove me from they list
i asked them who gave them my number AND YOU WONT BELIVE THIS - BUT THEY COMFIRMED IT IS THE BANK THAT I BANK WITH AND ITS NOT EVEN HALIFAX - THEY TOLD ME ITS ALL THE BANKS THAT ARE HANDING OVER OUR DETAILS TO THEM!"!!!! SO IS NOT THAT ILIGAL ,WHEN BANKS HAND OR SELL OUR DETAILS TO OTHER COMPNEYS  JUST FOR US TO GET HARRASED BY THEM ?

Just had a call for my wife.  Its clearly a call made from a machine because there is a wait from the time of answering to the time someone their end speaks.  They were very polite but would not speak to me but said they would call another time.  An unwelcome nuisance.

They just phoned and asked for my girlfriend as _Mr_ <her name>, so I passed the phone across and she said "that's me", so they hung up!
