Just got a call from Satellite system Care. They gave the impression they were calling about my existing policy by saying your current cover is no longer the cheapest policy option and we will therefore change it to our new £5pm plan. All sounds good. He says your new policy documents will arrive shortly and this is the new number you need to call if you need asistance.

He then asked me to confirm my name and what sky box I had. I said you know all this already with my current policy which is when he admitted he was in no way related to my existing sky approved cover. I hung up,

I will also be reporting them to TPS as my phone number is registered to prevent such sales calls. I know TPS dont have much authority but always worth adding to the complaint list.

im sorry but somebody from your firm called me the other day i told them i was insured with sky  they said that they could do it cheaper , and asked why didnt i want to save some money i said your offering 7 and sky is 8 why do i want to change all my details just for a pound difference . he stated that they have they work along the same enginerrs as sky . i said that my husband wasnt home at the moment and the sky insurance is in his name and they tried getting my card details from me to save time as i said that my husband would be calling them back when he gets in .

we looked into it anyway - and we reported it to the ico  they took it further and gave a us a crime reference number as they were reporting it to the police .  the ico - thats the information comissioner is writting to you  and
the telephone prefference agency was allso is writting as we are registered with the tps and it is illegal to make marketing calls - cold calling  your company did not say that you were an up and coming  company that they were looking for possible  customers and he asked for me by name . there is a difference in saying that you work along side sky when you dont .  they stated they were satelite system care ssc  but if you are not legally registered for the job that your trying to do you shouldnt be trying to take peoples card details and asking them to set up an account .

This company also asks for bank details purportedly for a direct debit mandate however they also ask for the card security number, which unfortunately was given, the very next day the entire ANNUAL premium £90 was being debited from our account - the cover was cancelled but we are told 'refunds are by cheque to your address', one way or another it's a scam

Your company conned me out of £255 and I have been struggling for 3 weeks now to get my money back!

I would strongly reconmend to everybody NOT to take out any policy with these con artists and to contact thier phoned company to have SSC phone number blocked.

If as you say you are commited to good customer service why are you misselling to customers on the phone- my father was told that you represented sky and that sky protect does not. He was also told that you could get parts for his box that sky protect would not be able to obtain.  he paid money to your company and when I called earlier this week I was told the refund would be by Friday of this week - I have called again today and they now tell me the refund with be July 31st - two months after the date of the collection of the payment.  I was told on the phone that there is a waiting list to return money to customers and that you only pay back to much a day which is why he has to wait for his £213.00 - so if this is not a scam what is the hold up of a legitimate refund that you have agreed, why are we being lied to.

contacted by phone a company calling its self satelitte system care i was not made aware of this at the time.I was given the impression they were the company i was already with and they were offering me a reduction in my monthly payment due to them relocating to bounemouth. They then took £80 from my bank account without my permission. When the paper work finally arrived after me contacting them I cancelled the policy  by phone and letter well within the 14 days cooling off period, that was on the 12th july I am still waiting for a full
refund of £80 but no body will answer the phone just telling me to leave my name and phone no which i  have done at least 5 times but will keep trying.I feel really stupid for letting myself be scammed like this and hope something can be done to stop other people being caught out.My  only option at this time is to make a fraudulent withdrawal against them, but is it worth it as i could end up spending more than the £80 i have already lost.

have finally had call back from ssc customer services have been told i will get my refund but they have change their system and it will be paid back into my bank a/c and not by cheque as previously told.Of course no actual time it will take could be given only that there is a list of people waiting for refunds so could be anywhen.Still i guess i should be thankful they got back to me after quite a few messages left by me.

For anyone conned into doing business with this company, who is outside the cooling off period. there is still something you can do.  If they have told you they are anything to do with Sky, you can write to them, Recorded Delivery, and tell them that under the Misrepresentation  Act 1967 you are cancelling the contract and require a refund.  I was given this advice by Consumer Direct/CAB when I was helping an elderly widowed friend who had been scammed by three of these companies because she was confused.  Action Fraud took all the details for these companies and said they are of the opinion that all these companies, based in the same area of the South Coast, re run by the same people.

I have have taken out a policy with ssc and had engineers out to my door within 24 hours as i am on the priority cover with ssc.
Also when i received the call from a young man called Moses, he was very compliant and explained everything thoroughly. During the call I recalled him saying that it was regarding my sky tv and that he wanted to swap my company to theirs. I asked him if he was sky or if he had sky and he had said that sky dont deal with mantentance cover themselves and sky protect whom i was with pay sky money to use their name. I believe that sky protect for doing this are worse than ssc. Once i recieved my paperwork I was slightly confused as to how i was on the 3 year policy and rang to speak to moses and he explained that he had put me on a 3 year policy so i could benefit from 6 months free and explained that he had explained it to me on the day and asked me to write it down. I checked the paper and he was correct I had not been paying attention to the call.
Im sure most of you like myself didnt pay enough attention at the begining of the call or any of the call or didnt understand fully and therefore feel conned.
I initially felt this way until i spoke to Moses the second time and was satisfied with the service. Moses carefully explained everything to me the second conversation that i had with himself and answered all of my questions.

Patrick is not a real customer, this has been cleverly written by one of the three young directors or maybe even the sales manager at SSC, I can PROMISE you that.

This company are an absolute disgrace.  As you will see from my earlier post, I sent them a Recorded Delivery letter in April, telling them that, under the Misrepresentation Act 1967 their contract with my elderly friend was cancelled. I also told them that any further communication was to be in writing.  This was because my friend was recently widowed and could not cope with  unsolicited telephone calls.  They received, and signed for the letter at 12.00 noon on 19th April and at 1.40 p.m. someone called Sean (Shaun) attempted to ring.  Nothing was then heard from them until last week when my friend received two letters on the same day, saying she had missed payments and they would attempt to take a further payment.  They also rang three times.  I have now referred them to the originsl letter and told them that any further contact they try to make will be reported.  Anyone thinking of using this shower of cretins, should think again.  Anyone from SSC who wishes to dispute this, should remember that I have everything in writing and the 'phone calls are on record.
