who is calling me from this number asking me for payments?

I can confirm that was payment reminder call from O2 UK. Anyway, they tried to call me about 6 times a day!

I just paid online but keep receiving the calls so phoned O2 to ask why, apparently it can take up to 24 hours for the payment to show so you can keep receiving the calls until the time has elapsed,

i m reciving cll from this no to pay bill i m not sure about safety from this no

i have the same message, i received 3 in the last 5 days, mine is set direct debit also. i reckon it is a scam just beware

It is NOT a scam!  It's O2 ringing to chase payment on an overdue bill, I get this call regularly as I don't have a direct debit currently set in place.

If you pay by direct debit, check with your bank that the funds are there and the dd cleared then ring them back on your mobile to sort it out - it doesn't cost you anything to call them back on your mobile.

I have received a call from the above number this is not the first time.  when I answer the phone is put down. 02 usually text me to remind bill is due so mind boggles. never had any problems with 02. So who is this.

It's o2 just to remind you you payment is Overdue, Go on their website and you will find this number haha, They ring me when mine is overdue and i pay them. IT IS NOT A SCAM!!!!!!

The best way to prevent this call is to ensure you pay your bills on time, like you're contractually obliged to do so...

If this is too much of an issue for you, move to Pay As You Go!

I like how a business is foolish for collecting what they are due, I'd say its more the individuals problem if they can't manage their bills.

O2 are chasing me for payment, I havent paid yet so fair play to them lol

It's O2. Genuinely O2. And if you're more than a day overdue with your bill, they will start calling you (I forgot to pay, then forgot they'd sent a text - entirely my fault, and I hold my hands up) from this number.

You can call back for free from your mobile, so calling the 0844 number is the only cheeky thing about it.

Not every call you get is a scam.

This number is definitely 100% o2. They call you from this number if you have forgotten to pay your bill.

I can confirm what everyone else has said, it is not a scam. this number is listed on the o2 website, as a number to ring to make payments from if you are using a landline and not an 02 mobile to call them, otherwise its 202 from your mobile. its free and its a payment message to instruct you to pay your outstanding bill before they cut you off. if you cant afford to pay it and are sick of being rung up by this number, ring them back or answer the phone and wait to speak to an advisor and explain your situation. they can then put a note on your account. and then the calls stop. best piece of advice i ever got!
