- Paul HunterAlthough this wasn't a call recieved by me the number was listed as a conact number in s1jobs.com
- Carl| 3 repliesI saw the same advert. I severely doubt that a 'delivery driver' that is required to sell is earning anything like that. £40k is a good salary for a rep with ote but even on a basic of 20k you wld need to be a good one. They say the 'average driver' earns that - I wld ask to see proof - which would mean some drivers are earning in excess of 40k. Very unlikely. I wld take this as seriously as the adverts on lamp posts suggesting you can earn £500/week for only a few hours work.
- Scambuster| 6 repliesITS A SCAM!!!! simple as that!
- chas replies to Scambuster| 2 repliesits not my best mate works for them the top guys are earning well over £50,000 i think you have to remember they are selling good food the more they sell the more they make my mate works very hard but earns more in a week than i do in a month
- BarneyHS| 11 repliesThe last two messages are obviously written by DSD staff - I'd guess they were the work of Nick and Sarah. The food is acceptable, but for the prices they charge it should be outstanding. They also adopt a very hard-sell approach to often very vulnerable or elderly customers, unsolicited and on your doorstep.
I went to one of their interviews and saw through there scam within 5 minutes. They are very evasive when you ask any questions during the interview about the role, say 'all will become clear during training'. A bit of searching reveals that the sales delivery drivers are self-employed, have to lease the van from DSD, pay for fuel and even buy the food from the company in the first place! To even break even they have to sell £300 worth of re-boxed Findus a day, so if they have a bad day or week they can end up owing DSD money! A total scam, though all too common in the current economic climate, when shyster employers like these try and take advantage of being desperate for work.
Don't buy their food, and certainly don't go to an interview with them. You've been warned!!!- Caller: Dining Solutions Direct

- markthemarkyb123 replies to chas| 1 replyWhat do you for a living then mate? Bet you aren't one of us who are desperately looking for a decent paid job in our own country having to claim back all the tax that i've slaved for and paid into my social funds because there are too many immagrants taking our money and having to claim jobseekers because of it are you? BTW I'm actually one of those dinlos that was stupid enough to fall for a scam like this in the first place so screw you!!!!!! Should rename the company to DIRTY SCREWOVER DASTARDS.........!
- markthemarkyb123 replies to ScambusterTotally agree mate nice one!
- markthemarkyb123 replies to BarneyHSFairplay love the speech, I went to one of their interviews today and looked on their website afterwards glad i bloody did after all that. I'm supposed to be attending a training day with a driver/seller tomorrow don't think i'll bother now it all sounded too good to be true in the first place anyway. Thanks
- dada replies to BarneyHSi have just read your report on dsd and would like to thank you on your entry . i had a interview for tommorrow morning now i will not waste my time going. i was going to take time off my work & lose pay to attend this scam thanks again .
- ZoomaThankyou for the warning guys, i went to an interview the other day, had no idea.
- scam hatersDO NOT WORK FOR DSD!!!! I went to one of there interviews and started working for them and left! they bully customers to buy the products. the top fish sellers that work there are dodgy old men and the only reason they earn that is because some of them don't even register as self employed (how stupid to tell me on my training day)! tax dodging [removed:lang].

- NotgoingscamAll I can say is thank god I found this, I was to go tommorow 21/09/10 for 2 days training, and it does not look too good with the info on here, so DSD this fish got away if u pardon the pun lol
- XTREMEmannersThanks guys i attended an interview last thursday in wallingford it all looked good but with sales experience i kinda knew the pitch but didnt realise all what has been told on here like buy the food off the company first, was due to start today but as being so desperate for work chose an interview with mcdonalds instead at least i get paid and recieve free food on my break rather buying loads like dsd
YOU LOT ARE BRILLIANT THANKYOU SO MUCH PEOPLE - stickitupyour4ssDSD| 1 replywell i went to one of the training days today wanted me to cold call on peoples homes using their sales talk which was " Hi how are you. do you like good food? great!! come and take alook at what produce we have.'but in a way that the customer couldnt get their answer in.and basically had to force them to ncome to the back of the van. i was told i was to polite and needed to be more forceful lol.
well i thought id do some questioning of my own , so i started asking my own questions .. talk about clam up! they kept on trying to avoid my questions i had to keep badgering him to tell me what the average earning was , and then the BIG question , how much does all this cost me?? worked out to be around £250 a week!! i said i came to you for a job so i could earn money not the other way round lol
long story short i got out his van and walked home!! - madnixterST24Mondeo replies to stickitupyour4ssDSDHi..read the latest additions regarding DSD..quite funny..I was there today
- Scam busterI had an interview and a training day at the end of last year with a guy named Stuart.
I saw an advert in the paper saying "Delivery driver's wanted, earn over £40k per year, company vehicle provided, call this number" there was no information about the company, not even the company name. I rang the number and arranged an interview where I was told just how great a company DSD is to work for, earn anywhere from £500 - £1000 per week, make your own hours, van and product supplied. There was no mention of the £300 deposit for the van + £100 per week for the hire of it, £6 per block of ice, and no mention of having to buy the stock that's included with the van.... the post above suggests that you don't have to buy the product supplied with the van, but you do, you are given a basic supply of products which is relatively minimal and you have to build up the rest of your stock by buying it from DSD, the cost is what the food costs (see their website) minus £15 which is your commission per box sold. This company is the biggest scam out there, both as employers and as sellers, the website is very misleading, you just have to look in the back of one of the “fish men’s” vans to see just how much of a joke the company is! - Glasgow Gordoy| 15 repliesI have been for an interview and the men were nice.leave them alone.cant wait to get started in time to make loads of tips at christmas.the men were nice to me and have got a wolkswagen va. for me. Leave them alone ok.

- Scambuster replies to Glasgow Gordoy| 14 repliesDON'T DO IT Glasgow Gordoy... that Volkswagen van is leased to you for £100 a week plus a £300 deposit to start with, you have to buy all the crap that you're selling, you even have to buy the ice that keeps everything frozen which is £6 a block, of course the men are going to be nice to you.. they're salesmen. You definitely will not be getting tips from any customers over Christmas, you will just be getting sworn at for being rude and intrusive as you try to make the 'hard sell'. Plus who is going to want to buy sea food over Christmas, its all turkey and roast dinners, not the £40 a box frozen rubbish from the back of a van. I hope you don't get mugged off by these con men, if you don't believe me then just look at all the other comments about Dining Solutions Direct, 'Dining Solutions Direct Scam' is the 2nd suggestion that comes down in the predictive drop down menu when you Google them... What does that tell you?
- Dale replies to Scambuster| 13 repliesTells me they are victimised by most of their competitors because they are market leaders in what they do , I know they do loads of work for charity , the whole company is backing a 4 year old boy who has been diagnosed with leukaemia I know this because my son works for them, not to mention they have over 180,000 customers, I have heard that competitors are slandering like you and they are launching many a law suit against loosers like you , good luck to them they are looking to take on 5ooo people in a country with a lot of unemployed people, the lads don't have to buy the food they are given, so your facts are based on what hearsay or your own inventive [***].my sons life has been transformed working for this company he has never been so happy has flexible hours and earns 3times what I do, what right do you have to have a negative impact on my sons hard word he is just working hard to support his family, learn some manners and get your facts right,if you have any excess energy get a job their you might improve your miserable life but that involves work which you are allergict to !
