- Elizabeth McFallThought this woz a fon ctr but not sure who. Both my husband & myself hve contracts with P4U so u can imagine our irriation with these calls - anything 2 20 calls per day. I hve tried 2 answer some of these but the line always goes dead after the initial "Hello Elizabeth, how r u 2day?". We hve still 3 mths left on our contracts so I dont no why they r ringing with so long left. 10 out of 10 4 persistency tho haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they are pretending to be Vodaphone half way thru the conversaton just say didnt I here someone in the background just say they were phones for you ???
just mess with their heads, they're paying for the call so wind them up, have a little fun !!! - ArunI've been getting about 10 calls a day from this no. for the past few weeks..and every time I pick up they cut the line. I'm not even with phones 4 u!
- RobOh god.. and i've just had my first un-answered call from them!!... *sigh*
What is it with these companies?? I send no end of complaints off to the TPS (as i;m registered with them) and nothing seems to get done about them! - RobI say we should all complain to Watchdog about the problems we've been having and see if they'll publicly investigate!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/ - ClaireBafter getting VERY fed up with them keep calling me i actually decided to answer. it was an account manager from phones 4 u. he said that i have won a brand new handset and new contract from a competition that i entered. he didnt give me any chance to talk. then he asked for my address. i asked him what competition it was and when did i enter. he said that i entered it 8 months ago. i told him that i didnt remember and then he got funny with me and basically told me that i was liar! i then quickly thought up an excuse and i told him that i had just renewed my contract with O2 (i havent as i am pay as you go) and that shut him up! but the cheeky sod then asked me if i could give him details of someone else i knew so that he could ring them to basically offer them the 'deal'. i said that they only people i knew were on contract. then i hung up.
- Caller: phones for you
- Rachel HOMG THEY ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY! i answered and said that my dad pays my phone bill and nt me so i cant even talk to them about my contract but they still ring about ten times a day for the last month! aggghhh GOOO AWAAAYYY!!!!!
- charlieOk this number will not stop calling me, what can i do to stop it? its happening about 3-15 times a day
- kayleighihave received up to 20 calls from this number a day for the last 2 weeks,i have never, and never will be a customer of Phones for you! i am with vodafone but on a PAYG tariff, therefore i'm not even entitled to an upgrade. if they ring now and i catch it,i answer and then just hang up,i appreciate they are just doing their job but its so annoying!
- sparkelystarfishThis number has been ringing me non stop for the last 4 weeks. I have at least 6 missed calls everyday when i get my phone out of my locker at the end of the day. It's Phones for you. I have never had any dealings with them in the past, neither have i ever had a phone with Vodafone who they seem to be linked to. I do not even have a phone on contract, i rarely make phone calls so am on pay as you go. I have no idea how they ever got my number but after answering to them one day and telling them politely I'm not interested they are still calling me everyday! Very persistent and very annoying - it's draining my phone battery!!
- anonThe calls from Phones4u as I work for P4U.
What you guys need to understand is we call our cmrs to help try and find a better a deal, which our cmrs have agreed to on purchasing their phone originally. If you ignore our calls we have no way of knowing whether our cmr wants to upgrade or not and therefore we keep calling to try and get an answer.
If the phone is in somebody elses name we need to speak to an account holder before we can terminate the contact. Again this is in our cmrs' best interests.
We contact many cmrs everyday and if we get an answer advising us to no longer contact then we do so instantly.
Cmr excellence is of great importance to us and I apologise on behalf of the business for any inconvenience, however take note of the above comments.
Thank you - CoopsNumber constantly calling, if it's the upgrade centre they can get abusive as they were to my girlfriend when she told them she was not upgrading.
- tomthey keep calling me to! but a answered and themn the phone makes the noise like i'm calling them? whats with that?
- MikeJust got a call from them, have no idea how they got my number as I am on Virgin and my phone was bought direct from them and i never give out my number unless it's to friends and family!
- RebeccaHave had 2 calls from this number now and each time they hang up. Haven't tried ringing it back...no chance I am paying for a sales call!
- Caller: ?
- MarkI had 37 calls from this number in the last 10 days to my mobile! they obvioulsy haven't taken the hint by me not answering!
if you have a samsung phone there is a reject setting in Call Log so when they ring you your phone will not even ring, all you get is the usual missed call message! it's their time and money, let them waste it! - SharonP4U are driving me nuts. How did they get my number? I'm a very happy Orange customer and have no desire to move to P4U any time soon. I am in the middle of an 18month contract and wish these unsolicited calls would end!
I did some digging around on Ofcom's website and their advice is 'If you don’t want to get calls from sales and marketing firms, you can add your details to a list, run by the Telephone Preference Service, which makes it illegal for a company to call you for marketing purposes in the future.
The Telephone Preference Service can be contacted at:
Telephone Preference Service
www.tpsonline.org.uk
Tel: 0845 0700707
DMA House
70 Margaret Street
London W1W 8SS
It takes about 28 days after you’ve registered before the ban on calling you
takes effect. If you are still getting calls after 28 days, then you can complain to the Telephone Preference Service, using the contact details above.'
Good luck guys, I'm about to register now. Goodbye P4U!!- Caller: Phones 4 U
