I keep getting calls from the above number , but they keep hanging up when i answer it is very annoying

Same as above, really annoying seeing as though i'm ex-directory!

Was asked if they could speak to the owner. As I wasn't the owner, and they were not around, I asked who it was and where they were calling from and they would not tell me... saying it is confidential! the person was called Caroline. And the owner had never heard of them... so not sure what they wanted! Bit strange!

Claim to be Manchester Business Consultants. Anoying auto dialing system causing the calls with no one at the other end.

asked for the owner of the buisness, when told that owner was away, however i can deal with it, they hung up... Ignorance pathetic behaviour...that NEEDS STOPPED

Same issues no one there when you answer. They are called RTA,got another number by calling the 0845 number, 0800393664, call this to get your number taken off their lists

We must receive calls from this number 5 or 6 times a day and everytime we answer we get an automated message saying the other caller has hung up.  This is so annoying and time wasting for company, not to mention that it is tying up our lines from genuine incomming calls.

I have also been receiving this call on a daily basis. Follow the advice above & phone 0800393664 & get your number removed.

Just been called AGAIN!! so called freephone no as above, very angry, to get no removed again, or at least I hope!!!

And I keep doing it.

I recommend putting all junk mail that you recieve in the pre-paid envelope & sending it to them at the above address.

I am receiving regular and persistent calls from these prats. I do NOT want to sell my business and my telephone numbers are all registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so they have no business cold-calling me anyway.
I am not going to call their 0800 number to get my number removed; why should I when they had no business adding it to their dialling list in the first place?
Instead I am going to write to them and give them written notice that tieing up my phone line with their illicit cold-calling is costing me business, and an estimates £147-00 + VAT for each occasion that they occupy my telephone line uninvited.
Accordingly, I will place them on notice that I will be invoicing them for £147-00 + VAT for each call received from today, and will issue County Court proceedings for debt recovery if they fail to pay within 14 days.
My letter will be sent be Recorded Delivery.
Let's see if they understand THAT !
P.S. And YES, I WILL sue them if they don't pay. I never make threats that I do not carry out.

Trevor who is so vocal is not actually registered with the TPS as claimed by him so appears he has nothing better to do in his life than get on a 'band waggon'. Sad really but in a world full of wars and poverty are we not slightly over exaggerating? Simply ask them to remove your number.

RTA - the guys who desperately need businesses to sell. I have answered their calls day after day usually they hang up but occasionally they speak, but when they do they talk utter rubbish.   I have asked them 17 for our number to be taken off their data base - but they don't seem to understand.  They DO say they are very good at selling businesses - somehow I find that very difficult to believe, given their own business methods- the next time they call me I am going to call the police

Easy one to handle.
Tell them that you're putting them through.
That their call is important to you.
Go and make a nice cup of tea or coffee.
If feeling more generous, play some elevator music.

yeah i am pretty fuming really

my job is hard enough without being interupted every 10 minutes by some idiotic company that can't ex[pect to do business with anyone they call. i am pretty sure that they are hated nationally never mind just us ha.

Just called the 0800 number and told them that their number had been passed on to the police. They told me that I had "clearly spoke to their call center to arrange these calls". EH?

I got a call from this number and a man with a south african accent told me he represented a company that helped companies find potential buyers in the event they wanted to sell the company - and offered a free valuation. As I'm not looking to sell up i told him it wasn't for me, but he could ring back in a year and see what I felt like then - as you never know. I can't remember what the company was called. Whilst it was unsolicited, it wasn't too intrusive or persistent
