i have no idea who is calling me all the time i dont like it when im reciving calls from strange numbers

They have been calling me about every 2 hours since yesterday... answered twice but there's nobody on the other end! According to another site this is a British gas number.

So far this week I have had 5 calls from 08450700827 which I believe is a British Gas number and also 8 calls from British Gas on 08001830143, 2 of which I managed to answer both were from British Gas, one was a Scottish lady and one an Indian sounding lady, both trying to sell me products and services.  The most annoying thing about this is that up until June this year I worked for British Gas Home Services a call centre that receives incoming calls for repair/servicing requests for boiler breakdowns so I know about home service products and how much their electricity and gas packages cost, I don't need them ringing me up to tell me!!!!!

I was phoned twice by 08450700827. The 2nd call was an Asian man in India telling me my direct debit was to be increased because my meter readings were higher than their estimates. This all sounded ok BUT now reading all these comments I will investigate the matter further. Why don't British Gas send a letter or email about this when there is so many fraudulant attempts to get at ones hard earned dosh!

they have been phoning me for the last four days, but when i pick up the phone no-one speaks and then they put it down, i dont know what they are doing but it really annoying gonna try get my phone company to ban the number from phoneing

They have been calling at least once a day for the last week though I make a point of not answering!

They are stalking me too! If it is British Gas I don't even have an account. They called and I answered - it was a scottish guy then he hung up?

A man with a Scottish accent rang on this number but I couldn't hear what he was saying so he rang off.

Just got a call from this number.  Didn't answer as didn't know who the number was.  Phoned it back to see who answered, with the intention of saying "Oops, sorry wrong number" and you get a recorded message saying "You were called today  by British Gas regarding a non-urgent matter.  We shall try to call you again in the next 2 days.  If you wish not to receive these calls, call 0840700828"

Best of it is, we left these useless so-and-so's for EDF.  Why the calls?

i got a call for 08450700827 at 2.00 in the morning . I had to get downstair to answer the call and to hang noboby their . I am disable so it is hard to go up and down stairs all the time .The are always ringing three or four times a day.This is so very annoying.

I just had a missed call from the number mentioned here but no message was left on my Voice Mail which by the way is my company moblie hmmmm:-)

I called the number it is British Gas a Voice Recording told me that I was called on a NON Urgent matter and that they would call me back later?

If I do not wish to be called to call a number which I havent done yet.

Just got one of these calls from this number. Stuck it in Google and found this site. Couldn't tell a word they were saying. I'm led to believe as a former BG employee that only back office is located in India not call centres.

Got called today from this number, this is standard procedure when you leave British Gas, they follow up to see why you have left. I left because they have possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I did register with TPS, but still got that call!! - So how good are TPS, well I cant tell you what calls I've not received for obvious reasons ;-)

Ps, I've never had an account/registered with British Gas - so why call my work mobile?!? Hmmmm, life aye.

i get a call from this number at least once a day they are driving me mad!!!

On calling the number back (I use VoIP so my number doesn't go through) you get a taped message stating that you've been called by British Gas on a non-urgent matter.  It goes on to say that if you no longer wish to receive such calls to phone 08450700828.  Hope this help.
