it is some company trying to sell loft insulation

9845113111 is a thorough pest.  There should be some way to find out who this anonymous caller is and restrict their activities.  Each time I answer, they simply hang up.  As I am elderly, it is quite worrying-I wonder sometimes if i ambeing targeted for a robbery and when I answer they know I am in so try elsewhere.
Please, can someone do something?

I have caller ID on my phone & I got a call yesterday from the above number.
The young lady asked if she was speaking to Mrs..... and I said yes, then she said oh, I'm Sandra from Nationwide (didnt get the rest as she stumbled on her name as if it was unfamiliar to her)
Im calling to ask if you have received your government insulation grant.
I said no, however I am registered with TPS & I shouldnt be getting these "fishing calls " she apologised, said that all calls are screened and I would be removed from the list.
If there ARE genuine insulation grants, surely it would be nationally advertised, not cold called over the phone.
Mind you, British Gas are also offering free insulation at the moment as the meter reader asked me if I was interested so not all may be scammers it seems - just be careful what you reveal over the phone. If you arent comfortable, ask them to take you off the list, mention TPS or just hang up on them.

When told she'd phoned a number registered with the TPS, she said "It's improtant for you to realise that we..." with some blather about how they buy in the to-be-phoned list. When I told her that it was important for HER to realise that it's an offence to make a marketing call to a number registered with the TPS, she hung up.

I ALWAYS assume that the manner of the cold caller accurately reflects the likely satisfaction one would get from the company's product.

WARNING - I think this company is now ringing under 03300 88113.

They are a tele-pest and ring all hours of day and night for weeks, and don't take any notice if you say you are not interested as they tend to leave it a month and then start ringing again!!!!

I advice would be 'DON'T ANSWER, AND LET IT RING' - If everybody does it then maybe they might get the hint that nobody is interested!!

Alternatively if you look under the section for this number, you will see an entry where a man was told that he would have to pay £300 by card before having a survey done - Do you have £300 cause I don't - LET IT RING!!!!!
