- chickenleader| 1 replyI have 3 times received a call from this number trying to find out details of credit cards, loans, mortgages to find out if I need to make a claim. I have asked them not to call me again but they seem to be persistant. The accents of the callers suggest it is based overseas.

leaving them on line...all to no avail.
I did 1471 on one occasion and obtained their site info@dwsclaims.com.
I then sent a constant abusive e-mail everytime i had spare time.
They came back very pleasantly and promised to delete me from their data base- Caller: dwsclaims.com

- KT0024| 2 repliesHad a call from DWS today claiming they'd sent me info by post and obviously fishing for personal info. Lady spoke very nicely but when I asked if it was a sales or PPI claims call she got a bit shirty. After asking several times what it was about and only getting long winded, 'sales speak' in response I asked what it was she was trying to get me to agree to - she put the phone down.
Just worried that if you're not canny enough you could get drawn in as they did it very cleverely by using sales talk and long words!!!- Caller: DWS
- BarrieF| 1 replyI was called today by a lady with a welsh accent saying that my credit card company had increased my credit limit without my permission. She said that this was illegal and that they could claim compensation. She had to admit she did not know if this had happened, but then asked if it had.
I gave her my opinion of the activity of companies such as hers. (not repeatable here).
I expect that they charge a fee for this service? and would advise anyone to use the free services such as CAB, if they have problems.- Caller: D W S Claims,Chepstow,NP16 5UH

- VeeHave had two calls from this number this week. Nobody speaks when I answer. Very annoying.
If it is DWS Claims, they're phoning about mis-sold PPI. Reporting them to the TPS now.

- les morganTwice today and twice last week I have had calls from this number. Each time I am asked if she can speak to Mr Morgan and when i ask what the call is about the lady put the phone down.
Most annoying.- Caller: DWS
- RalphReceived direct postal and telephone communications from them. Because I appear on Ofcom's TPS (Telephone preference service) I have emailed them informing them that they are in breach of regulation 21-(1)(b) of The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and I am already within my rights to report them to TPS who will in turn report them to the information commissioner.
I have also asked for them to stop processing my data within 28 days under the data protection act.
If they fail to comply then they better standby. Although I note from a quick search of "Domain World Strategy Ltd" that they have changed address and phone number recently and on their Company House Accounts they have £0 at the bank and a Net Worth of £455. Definitely something doesn't add up. Probably just on the PPI Gravy Train while it lasts before they quickly shut up shop and move onto to the next "Ambulance Chasing" Scheme under a different name.
Also note the 0844 number up to 5p/minute at all times that you have to call to contact them by telephone (0844 979 4738)

- DaveSo I guess the person who runs the DWS leaves it to their accountant to perform the necessary operations for their own privacy. If I continue to be hassled by DWS I shall be making representation with Graham Paul's MD (Brian Scott) directly.

- Jill Robinson| 4 repliesJames Batt DWS CLaims rang from 0844 9797390
Legal Mr Ryan spoke and they wanted to charge £250 to my CC to hold until they rexcived my compensation
They are ringing Monday as I wanted to look into the Company
Sounds like they may take the money and run?- Caller: DWS
- Paul replies to Jill Robinson| 1 replyHi Jill, They take your £250 as a "admin/review fee", plus the interest, regardless of whether they win your case, then they will return your £250 but then take 10% of any claim. This can take anything from 4 weeks to 6 months. Other companies may not charge such fees. Notice it says you only get the £250 back if they win your claim.
From their website (http://www.dwsclaims.com/pca.html):
"Upon entering into a contract with us, you will be required to pay a refundable deposit of £250, the administration fee is fully refundable if all of your potential claims prove unsuccessful."
I cannot find any mention of what happens to the £250 if you are unsuccessful in your claim!
I suggest you go on MoneySavingExpert.com or seek other independent financial advice such as from the Citizens Advice Bureau before continuing.
From my perspective they appear very good at talking the talk and pressurising individuals who may know/ understand the facts, however a simple click to their website reveals grammatical and typing errors that you would NEVER expect from a reputable organisation and going on the evidence above.... personally I WOULDN'T TOUCH THEM! - Paul replies to Paul*correction in the above I meant you don't know what happens to the £250 if your claim is successful or if you win less than £2500 where 10% would be less than the £250 already spent.
- P C 49Today I received a scamming call from 0845 1547956 telling me I was in line for a minimum payout of £1200 if my credit card company had increased my credit limit without my agreement . Call lasted 7 minutes until I told them my profession and they hung up on me instantly !

- mb"Had a call from DWS today claiming they'd sent me info by post"
Had exactly the same here today. New idea, I must admit. Caller sounded like a native of the UK. The usual claptrap about PPIs followed but I just asked him not to call again and hung up. I'm also on TPS but what difference does it make ...- Caller: DWS

- VeeHave reported these nuisances to the TPS already. Had another call today. As above, they claim to have sent a letter (they haven't), something about a minimum £1,500 in compensation, the Consumer Credit Act (1974), mis-sold PPI and unenforceable agreements...
They take a £250 deposit which is held for 14 days. The claim is to take six to eight weeks. The lady directed me to their website: www.dwsclaims.com.
The number they called from was 0845 1547956, but the number I should call back on is 0844 9797393.
Reporting them to the TPS again, now that I have a name, new number and extension. Beginning to think the TPS is a joke.- Caller: DWS Claims
