I've had about a dozen calls from this number over the last week.  Pre-recorded message claiming to be from NatWest card services, querying an account for an unintelligble name.

No a/c with NatWest or cc with associated companies.

today is 16th july 2008 and i have been called 3 time from the same number...1 time i answered and straght away it asked me for my creditcard details...what is this...who is calling me

RBS group is huge, they own Narwest, RBS (duh) Halifax, various card agencies.  I received a call from them this morning didnt answer it,  The number is also used to chase up SMS banking you may have set up.  Nothing to worry about however if tey refuse to leave you alone after working hours surely one can go to trading standards?

RBS are not the bank of Scotland they are the royal bank of scotland who are different companies. They do not own halifax or sainsburys. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW

I got several calls over 2 days from these guys too. Asking for the wrong name. I too googled the number and here i am.

I phoned it back and by ONLY giving the phone number they were phoning they confirmed the name i was being asked for.

She said they would take me off their system.
In the meantime i have called trading standards and registered with TPS. I think they are a out-sourced credit debt collection with faulty databases and over-zealous computer dialling software.

I just had this, theyv tried to ring me 5 times in 2 days. Answered it and went through the speel and went to an adviser.  They are working on behalf of RBS to get late payments.  I rang tesco to confirm and it appears all legit.

THIS IS A HOAX NUMBER I CALLED NETWEST AND DO NOT RING THE NUMBER BACK, NATWEST SAID IF THEY NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU SO BAD THEY WILL SEND A LETTER IN THE POST! I THINK SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE POSTED A BLOG WHO THINK THIS IS REAL ARE FROM THE COMPANY WHO IS DIALING, PLEASE PLEASE TRUST ME DONT GIVE OUT YOUR DETAILS YOU NEVER KNOW WHOS, WHO IN THIS WORLD.

About 4 calls over the last week - when I answer it is an automated voice recording stating the call is for Angela Redwood from Nat West.  Each time we have hung up.  I have just called the number and they claim to be a credit agency and are going to remove my number - not sure I trust it though - so fingers crossed.  Why doesn't somebody from Nat West add a posting to assure all concerned that it is/isn't a bona fida agency?!?!

This number keeps calling me about a Natwest credit card which I do not have and now the message is saying its a message for Gary Peacock which I am not.

Have had multiple calls from this number on my mobile and at my parents house, I have both a Mint card and a Tesco card that were both stolen last month so was concerned that perhaps the direct debits had not gone through. Instead of answering their questions I CALLED my credit card company and they assured me that everything was fine and this IS a hoax so ignore them. My advice is before giving out your details call the number on the back of your card to check if they are legit, better to be safe than sorry!!!!!

This is not a credit card company but a scammer. They are not working for RBS, NAtwest or MINT. Do not give any details. I have reprted this to the trading standards> The people on this link that say they are genuine i have found out work for the scam.

Just keeping in on this. Those people who think it is fake are wrong. I have spoken to Natwest themselves twice, the first time they said no they never use automated lines the second time they said they do occasionally use an outsourced call centre who also work for other credit card agencies. They told me on this occasion that this number was one of theirs and not a scam. I had already called the Police and Trading Standards, I have since called them back to tell them that it is someone connected to Natwest and RBS. If in doubt phone your credit card company whoever it is and see what they say.

And I really do encourage people to contact Trading Standards about this as the police told me using an automated line in this way was illegal, or at the very least immoral (they didn't seem sure whether any laws were broken)

Phone every day two or three times. I rang them back and all i got was please enter your credit card details. No thankyou for calling Natwest credit services, nothing just enter your card details. Doesn't sound legit to me, i even changed mobile numbers with natwest yet there still calling my old number?? If it really was Natwest wouldn't they use the new number!

I have had this number call me several times, often leaving blank voicemails, but from what i have read on these posts, it cirtainly does appear to be RBS.

I know that Mint and Natwest are part of the RBS group, and according to Tesco Credit Cards Terms and conditions, they seem to be part of this group also. So odds are if anyone has arrears which anything to do with tesco, natwest or mint, then you shall probably recieve a call from them. I am in arrears with my Natwest Credit Card and i am getting calls from them.

I agree that it is annoying, especially as its often a blank call and the voicemails are silent which result in the cost of trying to recieve your voicemail. I wouldnt say its worth reporting them because however annoying as it may seem RBS are entitled to try and recover their money.

If you guys do not owe anything then its possible that it may be a recovery agency who manage RBS arrears along with others. I advise that you ignore all numbers you do not recognise as you are not obligated to answer all calls, and only respond to mail. That way if they say that they have called, you can simply say "if you did then why did you not leave a voicemail with a contact number".

i got a few calls today saying my payment was overdue, even though i hadnt had a statement. i logged in online and paid but after looked at recent statement and payment wasnt even due yet!

I went and found a program for my mobile that allows me to blacklist numbers. Problem gone.

They called me the other day 15 times in 1 day, because on my mobile it comes up a** spam I just stop the call but they keep calling me, today they called me already 10 times. hope they give up soon.
