got a text that says i have apparantly joined the ultimate cash quiz and got a free entry to win a million for 3pounds a week! how is that free!!! it says text stop to 84459 to stop it. But the message wont send. it says ring 08453892662 to speak to a helpline but noone answers there either. I take it they will claim 3 pound out of my calltime credit every week until i manage to get it stopped! help my number is 07938111799

I also got a text from Grab a Grand quiz and it seems they've up'd the ante - it says I have subscribed (which I have not) to their competition and they charge £1.50 Mon, Thurs and Saturday until you send STOP to 86000 (which doesn't exist) and the telephone number (above) is permanently engaged.  Definitely some scam and I shall be reporting it to the police and to the watchdog (whoever that may be).

same as soon as i put credit on my Mobile it takes credit and i cant stop it

have got right number to stop this 84459. this has also been logged with Manchester police and will be reported to ofcom on Monday.hope this helps.

I have been getting these nuisance texts and have tried stopping them by texting stop texts, recently I received a text from them saying that I had been incorrectly billed for these texts and told me to call 08453892662 to claim a refund quoting ref GAG.  I have tried ringing but the number is out of service, I have also text again saying stop texts but it seems hopeless, I need these to stop these texts and claim the refund, this is really irritating.

just got conned aswell it said £4 per week send stop to 87771 doesn't send the skanky [***] and it's just ate my credi so i can't do anything but buy a new sim card

have checked this number they rob you for lots more even if u text stop/stop all the only way to stop them perminently is to phone the on 02078199123 (net play tv)& then ring 08453892662 and ask for a refund.

'Did a quiz' on myoffers.co.uk, it did ask for my Mob number but i checked all the small print to make sure it wasnt a subscibtion i was joinin & found nothin to say it was, so i put in my number. £7-8 it took off my credit within 5 mins, after the first 1 i texted STOP too 87771 & i still received texts and now Ive no credit left (Im on PAYG). I rang netplay on 08453892662 & the guy i spoke too wasnt at all sympathtic & had a bad attitude. So Im taking it further. If you have the same problems TEL: Phone Pay plus O800500212. This company can help you take matters further against netplay and are in the process of getting something done about netplay because of the amount of complainst they have had about them! 08453892662- NETPLAY IS A CON & THEY SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO RIP PEOPLE OFF BY MISLEADING THEM PURPOSELY SO THEY WILL SUBSCRIBE & BE CHARGED REDICULOUS AMOUNTS OFF YOUR PHONE BILL.

The caller ID in my above post is 87771 & 81177. But the Number I have posted in above is the actuall company Numbers NETPLAY from where these texts numbers came from!

customer service number for net play is 02078199122,if u have been getting texts or contacted by number's 87771 or  811777 or 08453892662 ring the customer care number to get your number removed off there service's.

dont be connned by this company.I am a senior citizen and this company has been using 87771 to send texts and conning me out of about £20.They should not be able to get away with this action.

I have just had my o2 bill charging me for texts to and from a premium rate number 84459, I did not send or receive any texts from this number and tried complaining to o2 whho said they would investigate further and they told me to call phone pay plus who would take up my complaint but they would not take it further for me told me to discuss it with o2 which I have and now seems I am being passed back and forward between o2 and phone pay plus? why is this, they are supposed to take complaints and they wont very strange!

I'm now having problem with 84459 as well. They charged me 3 pounds for 1 sms for my O2 number, and I've got 3 sms without I can't stop them.

On November 7th, I got a messgae on my iphone saying that I could enter a competition to win an iphone - or was it an ipad. There was absolutley no mention of the fact that this was connected up to a premium short cut number and that I would be charged at premium rates. After a few moments, I realised that something was afoot and immediately hung up. I have just received my iphone bill and to my horrow see that I have been charged £45.00!!
Is there anything I can do about this?

3 o2 advisors told me that they have blocked this 84459 number and I still receive messages (2,5 each!!!)
nobody can stop this :(

Received 2 text messages to my Orange phone in November, costing £3.00 each. A google search seems to suggest that they are from Story Telecom for credit to phone.

Never heard of Story, and have never sent or received texts to this number.

Have been charge £38 this month to this number! o2 refuse to delete the charges, and i have never sent any messages to this number. does anyone know how to take my number off there system?

I am totally pissed off, just checked my sons bill on 3 an we have been charged  £15 for god knows what on the number 84459, have no clue why people get away with rippin other people off who work bloody hard for what they have got, these people need to be stopped an sorted out by the police so they cant keep gettin away with what they are doin to hard workin people, Go an get yourself a proper job, Scammers...
