- MTCalled and left a silent message.
- Caller: Lloyds TSB
- Ian CooperOnly listened to the start "hello this is an important security call from lloyds tsb."
The recorded message then asked to press any key to continue. I didn't! - GregMine was a security check call to confirm a load of payments I made on my credit card at once (spending spree).
I called back, they know who I am from my caller id (computer read my name to me). They wanted me to enter just my month and year from DOB, no further information.
All the rest was passive, the automated system read my transactions to me in detail, and wanted me to simply confirm them, or speak to operator if uncertain. Quite certain this is all genuine as only lloydstsb (or someone decrypting my internet feed) would know the information they were providing to me. Also, they didn't ask for any further confidential info.- Caller: LloydsTSB
- mikei spoke to tsb and this number is not known by them!
- Caller: lloyds
- kevin nI have been 'through the mill' with this one and have confirmed that calls from this number are genuinely from LloydsTSB as part of their ongoing fight against credit card fraud. Greg's comment above is accurate.
- DesOnly listened to the start "hello this is an important security call from lloyds tsb."
The recorded message then asked to press any key to continue. I hung up! - aaronmine did not mention lloyds tsb. only asked to confirm my tel number which i supidly gave but no other information. then was put on hold and then i hung up.
- sarahI just got this today. Same recorded message as mentioned above. I didn't press any key as I was wary of it. So I phoned the number on my LloydsTSB card statement (seemed odd that the call came the morning after I had a problem with using my card). They confirmed it was their fraud department calling to check on the recent card activity.
- Caller: LloydsTSB
- ABThis is genuine from Lloyds TSB as part of their system for fighting fraud. Do ring them up to follow up on it as it could be that your credit card has been used fraudulently - we have just had to cancel ours :-(
- Caller: Lloyds
- JaneI didnt give any info out on the automated phone call but I rang my card issuer and was put through to the fraud dept and they confirmed it was a genuine call they just don't have the manpower to ring everyone personally.

- Jon DI got a call from them today, it is geniune a Lloyds TSB number. Waste of time from them though given I spoke to them 3 times last night when they kept blocking my credit card for no reason. I just made £50 from a goodwill gesture.
- Caller: Lloyds TSB
- GPCI've just had the same call - but it was genuine. There have been 5 attempts to make small transactions on my credit card today in various places all over the world. Fortunately, they have seen the pattern and identified it as being suspicious. That's why they contacted me. I was suspicious at first though so I didn't follow the automated instruction. Instead I phoned LTSB and they looked into it for me.

- DanThis number keeps on calling for someone who used to live here, but doesn't any longer. We can't get in touch to tell them to stop, and they call us multiple times a day. It keeps on telling us to get this guy to come to the phone, this guy we've never heard of. We tried the BT nuisance line, but they don't give a damn: I guess it makes them a lot of money. Coincidentally, I left Lloyds many years ago because they had crap customer service, now they're inflicting it on me anyway through their own incompetence! I've tried all kinds of Lloyds numbers, but none of them were interested.
Please, Lloyds, just butt out of my life.- Caller: Lloyds TSB
