Got a call from this number, sounded like a scam.

Just got a call from this number. Someone called John with an Indian accent offering to stop all marketing calls for a fee of £21. I mentioned that the TPS was meant to do the same job for nothing. And that this was probably a scam. He hung up.

I have just received an unsolicited call from this number from an Indian sounding man, offering to blocj unwanted calls. I told him the TPS service already does this adn that we are registered. He aplogised and hing up. Must be a scam. Beware!

I just recieved a call from a man with a strong asian accent at 0845834100, the call went as follows:
Me: Hello?
Caller: Hello?
Me: Hello?
Caller: Can I speak to Mrs Smit?
Me: Sorry I think you have the wrong number.
Caller: That is impossible as I am calling from BT.
Me: And who is it you want to speak to?
Caller: Mrs Smit
Me: Mr Smith?
Caller: Mrs Smith
Me: I'm sorry there is no Mrs Smith here.
Caller: Well then you should go away

Me: (laughing) hello?
- - - - silence - - - -
- - - - dial tone - - - -

I'm tempted to call back but I should really get on with my work!
