TGA now call people from this number.

* If they represent themselves as being Telstra they are lying.
* Never agree to anything over the phone without getting conditions in writing or email first.
* Always record the person who you are talking to so if they are not telling the truth you can follow up.
* Take notes during the call so if you need to lodge a complaint then you know who its for.
* If they ask you why you want their details, tell them the reasons above.

Many missed calls, always hanging up

This caller had an accent that I couldn't understand.  Asked why he was calling me on a public holiday in Perth (Perth area code on phone)  He said he was in Sydney and didn't know it was a public holiday. Said he was from Telstra and wanted to go through my account.  Telstra should do something about this. Hung up on him.

This number recently began calling my mobile most work days around midday Perth time. Hangs up after 2 or 3 rings. Never anyone there when I answer. Now added to 'reject' list so my phone automatically answers then disconnects. That costs them a call each time. Strange way of doing business.

Rings couple of times and the disconnects- checked this site and it seems like its bogus?

started 5/3/12, calls daily. Rings, hangs up if I answer or after a few rings. No voice! Looks and smells DODGY!

This number rings 3 or 4 times a day, every day. At inconvenient times as well. Either stops ringing after only one or two rings, or no answer and hangs up on pick up. I called back on the number that showed up and it rings once, answers, and then hangs up. How do I stop this????

Get called about twice a week. Every time answer it terminates.

Sick of these people ringing and hanging up.  Ties up precious business time.

Yep, these guys consistently call our business, several times a day, never leave a message, from a Perth number. However when I call back it just rings and hangs up, obviously DODGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is happening to me consistently all through the day as well, it's so annoying! I have call ID so I just ignore it, but I look so rude, if there's someone who walks in and I look like I'm just ignoring someone! It's so frustrating!

Said it was telstra calling to check my account details. I hung up  on him.

Had this call today (14/3/13) very dodgy call asking for account details and checking my current details for telstra. I also hung up.

They keep missing me, I try to call them back and it only rings once and then it becomes disconnected. Very annoying and pointless.

This number called me and I answered, they said they were a company representing Telstra and started to do a sale pitch, but I told them I was busy and if I wanted to change my phone account I would contact Telstra directly, the caller was a woman and sounded Aussie, that was yesterday and so far today I have had 3 missed calls as the phone rings twice and hangs up, I don't call back, pretty bloody annoying as I often work late at night/early morning and have to get sleep when I can, a call in the morning can disrupt my whole routine, will see how it goes from here.  Hopefully it doesn't continue or if it does the number can be  barred or closed down.

Same as above rings 2- times a day when i answer hangs up ...

Anyone know how to get rid of them??  They've been calling me for months now in Brisbane.  Ring me daily for a week, then nothing for a few weeks and then they cycle starts again.  There's never anyone there.  I ignore it but as Jayme said above you look rude when you don't answer your phone.  These people need to be banned!   I got a genuine call from a Perth number who wanted to place an order with me and told them to get lost before I realised.  Customer not happy but accepted my explanation in the end.

Represented themselves as Telstra.  Referreing me to a digital upgrade letter thet Telstra had sent.  I never got.  Wanted to go throgh my account.  When I asked whether he was from Telstra or an agent selling Telstra, he said TGA Group.  When I started to say I was too busy he hung up!

Rude little bugger!

WOULDNT TOUCH ANYONE WHO PRETENDS TO BE TELSTRA ALWAYS ASK THE QUESTION:

ARE YOU FROM TELSTRA OR AN AGENCY SELLING TELSTRA PRODUCTS.

It is an automated dialler, if no operator is available, it hangs up.  It may be logging to see if you are home also.
