- Mary P Kildare| 6 repliesI have had unsolicited text charged to my bill twice a week since 11/11/11 from 086-3810411
at a rate of €1.63 each - they come in pairs at the same time each week but I have never received or sent a text from/to them. I only noticed it on the last bill and rang O2 today. They have sent an email to the company to ask them to contact me and told me to text STOP to 57582 straight away. How do these people get your number and is there any way to stop it happening again?- Caller: YaBoost.com
- carloc replies to Mary P Kildare| 4 repliesWARNING This phone number 086-3810411 is a mobile content download service called Yaboost by a UK company Infaze. http://www.yaboost.com
YaBoost, Unit 6945, PO Box 6945, London, W1A 6US. Helpline: 0818248240 or email info@infaze.com.
My wife has had 131 euros debited from her O2 account in 12 months without receiving ANY texts or services from Yaboost and despite texting STOP to the shortcode number they advertise on their site a number of times it continued. The only proof of being charged we could find was a detailed analysis of our O2 bill. There has been no communication either by email or by text to my wifes phone as proof of the service. We finally googled and found that the mobile number being used Netsize today who run the premium number for Yaboost and made them force it to cease and made a complaint. They confirmed our request by reply text and we are seeking refund. I will pursue this and report them to the regulator in the UK unless they are forthcoming with a refund. - paula replies to carloc| 2 replieswho do u contact please and where are they based ?

It took a good bit of too-ing and fro-ing with them insisting it was completely legal. As a marketing consultant, having looked at the content of the texts they claimed to send me, it certainly not the case and no big brand could get away with their "interpretation" of the code of practise. Hope you got a refund too , keep at it. Thanks D
PS even if I had received some of the texts, they are clearly misleading and some look like spam with just a load of digits at the front of them. Didn't know they are the ones behind those calls mentioned by another person. - SeamusI am in contact with 'Infaze' at the moment and trying to retrieve €102.00 which 'Yaboost' took from my phone credit unknown to me since 2011. It would appear that they got my phone number from a TV competition that I entered on TV. The company that ran the competition were taken over by 'Yaboost' and then they started taking €2.00 at a time from my credit. For the want of a better word this is stealing. Should they not refund me in total I will report them to the Telecom Regulator to start and then look for compensation for putting me through this ordeal, totally unsolicited.

- Orlaith replies to tadhgenrightHi, I discovered today through vodafone that I have been charged €1.62 per text several times a month for the last 18 months... I emailed yaboost and they sent me a log of all the texts they sent, I never recieved any of these texts and my phone log proves it. I have requested a full refund and threatened ComReg on the advise of vodafone. They are not playing ball!!!!
Any advise you have would be great.
Thanks
Orlaith
