This has given me an idea.If someone knows how to get the phone numbers of politicians and other influential public figures they could give these details to this call centre and i bet we'd get something done once the great and the good started getting phone calls.

Rubbish - OE have never been near Harrington's eyes, something that anyone who actually works in the industry knows :

missed a call from 08702202020, rang back & got thru to optical express so hung up. just a one off so far.

this is optical express, although we have asked on several occassions to be taken off their phone list they havent, so last time they rung they were told that to take this as final warning as the next time they  phone they will be up on harrassment charges

I JUST entered a competition for free laser eye treatment- within 10seconds my phone started to ring! Thats borderline creepy.

Just had my first call from them which I didn't answer. I thought I'd see who it was first from this site. Let's hope it's not the first of many.

Having the same problem.
Easy fix, assign a silent ringtone to their number(s).

Got a phone call from this number at 7:45 pm on 22/11/2011

I entered a competition to win eye laser treatment at around 7am and by 5pm i had 4 calls from this number.

Similar story here.

My partner entered a competition to win laser eye treatment, and now we are getting bombarded with sales calls.

These comments are hillarious. I used to work for Optical Express making these calls and frankly anyone who puts their number on an internet form and then [***] about getting phone calls probably deserves whatever stress it's causing them.

Learn to spell please. In addition, it is not acceptable to laugh at your former customers. Giving contact details does not mean a company should ring repeatedly many times and often outside normal office hours.

I have just had one missed call from ths company about 5 mins ago again i entered a competition for free laser eye surgery. I have added the number ot my reject list aong with a nice long list of other companies after a week of them getting my answer machine they usually give up.
