Called 10 times today

Same - multiple calls, always "hello? hello?" with office noises in background - sometimes male voice, sometimes female

This number has called me 8 times today - started at 1.30pm and just received another call at 8.02pm.

I haven't been answering the calls as I never answer a number I don't know, but it's bloody irratating all the same.

Calls started today and as yet no one has bothered answering when I say hello.  Again can hear lots of general callcentre type noise in the background.  And they don't hand up when I do leaving the line open for a few minutes!

calls started at dinner time called 3 times now and gettin really anoyed

This number rang about dinnertime today and went to the answerphone with no message.  Rang again at teatime.  No one there.  Rang 1471 and it quoted 00278703305275.  Does this sound like someone ringing from abroad?  Tried ringing back and got this squealling sound a bit like a fax machine.

The number belongs to TalkTalk's call centre in Capetown.
They are calling to enquire whether you'd like any extra services such as caller id, call waiting, anonymous call rejection etc.
Their phones are on an automatic dialler which is why sometimes there might not be someone there if they have left their desk and forgotten to switch their phone off.

I just got a call from this number, but i didnt answer it. i typed it in on google and found this site. it's happened an awful lot over the past year and it really is starting to anoy me

Called three times, no one there when I answer, I am on pay as you go, and I have not registered my number, so where did they get it from?

I have been getting these calls too.

My ISP is talktalk and they have told me it is AOL who is making the calls and not them.

They have refused to do anything about it and told me to contact AOL direct!

I am glad I found this site - I have been getting this calls as well and when I called the number I couldn't figure out the company the female voice was saying 'you were called by ....we will ring you back another time'. But it could have been TalkTalk.

This number has called me loads of times in the last few days, when will these people start to understand that cold calling is a thing of the past and that if we want a service frm a company we'll contact them !

Loads of calls this week. Recorded message sounds like it could be AOL when we use "1471" but accent is difficult to distinguish. We are already Talk Talk customers but this lot seem not to want to Talk Talk.

i called back and got a different area ring-tone
No answer, glad i'm not the only person, isn't there a law about people being able to call when they're generally being a nuisance?
the call back probably cost an arm and a leg, irritating.

Many missed calls from this number. No one speaks when I answer so I have put "call barring" on it.

Received a call about 5 minutes ago from this number with nobody on the other end of the line. This is extremely irritating and a total waste of people's time bothering to answer the phone. I was actually waiting for an important call at the time so was even more bothered about it than usual.
It is about time that someone stopped them from being able to do this whether it is AOL or Talktalk... they are both the same company

just had one of those calls. we have a phone with caller id which has not worked for months and months, but yet this number DID show. we are with talk talk so maybe it was from them.
Mind you we have had 2 calls from talk talk recently asking if we were with BT... The poor guy must have felt pretty stupid when I told hm we were actually Talk Talk customers

Got the same call .... rang twice and stopped .... caller ID gave it as the same number as others have commented. I also was waiting for an important call!
