08707 591159 must be collectors. Does anyone know the name of the company? I don't want to call them and prefer to handle it in writing.

The company is either RMA or NCO, and they handle debts for MBNA. Hope this helps.

I had a call from thkem on my mobile today
I am almost sure that it is either RMA or MBNA

I have spoken with MBNA directly and this is a scam! RMA are nothing to do with MBNA and they are reporting it the fraud dept.

Do not call these people back!!!!

Do not give them any money or information!

If people really wanted you for money they write to you!

This number called me claiming to be representing MBNA,who I have recently been dealing with because my details have been fraudulently used.
This person asked for me to give him my address for security reasons. I stated due to security reasons and not knowing who he was I would not give any personal details. With that he hung up.

There's defo something fishy about this. I received a text this afternoon from them quoting this number and then a reference number but the odd thing is that it wasn't my name that they wanted, they had addressed it to my mates name. Personally if someone wants to tell you to pay them money then they'll either write a letter or call you directly. This sounds weird.

Received a text yesterday with my full name asking me to call nco on that number quoting a ref number, will delete the text and NOT call them, if mbna want money off me they will tell me on my credit card statement. would like to know how this company got my details if it is fraudulent

these people have been calling repeatedly, demanding personal informatio for security reasons... oh yes, lets just give you all my personal info.... you have to be joking. the easy answer is this: i am not confirming any information to you. you have called me and this is an unsolicited call. your voice message says you record all calls, thus you have this recorded that i have told you not to call this number again, and such calls will be unsolicited, indeed unlawful and thus i will report you to the police. i will rely on your record of this call and my phone bill to confirm i have instructed you nor to call..... thats all folks!

My husband received one of the cards from RMA this morning saying that they would call on Friday between 8am and 8pm.  We did not have a clue who they were so looked on the internet and ended up on this site.  My husband has a card with Abbey (re MBNA) and he has missed one month payment but has now sent off.   I advised that I am sure they would not pass to DCA for one payment.    Will ring Abbey to ask them why this company have his details tomorrow.    We are not going to respond to the card and would advise everyone not to give any personal details for security over the phone as advised by the previous person.   I work for a Bank and would stongly advise not to give any personal details to a cold caller on the phone.

I got a text off this number telling me to call NCO and quoting a reference number they gave me.  Sounds a bit dodgy.

Hi i got a card come through the door today from NCO stating they was going to call on me between 9am and 9pm this coming Tuesday, never heard of this company before so search there company number and came across this website, after reading what people have been saying i'm not going to talk to them, i for starters dont have an MBNA card only Capital One and they have not refered me to any dept management agency so i have no idea why i got this card.
Also the phone number on the card is not the same as the number other people listed, 08709 030 977

I just called these people back and told them about this site..they just said if I`m worried at all about talking to them I should contact mbna and gave me their number.

They are debt purchasers.

Tell them that you are herby warning them to issue further communication via writing ONLY and that if they call you again they are breaking the telecommunications act and you will report them to the police.

Also make sure you tell them you record your calls for security purposes - even if your actually not.

But try recording them. This company will make your life hell if you let them.

Do your research and be in control. If your not comfortable doing this tell them what I said above and hang up. If they call you more than 3times in 1 day this is breaking the law.

Do your reserch search "The Consumer action group" on google, you can find all the laws and info put simply on there.

BEWARE, DON'T EVEN CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY/NAME TO THEM ON THE PHONE.

rang my house 7 times in one hour and were very offensive .blocked all calls.
now recieving card through post even thought I have told them repeatly the person does not live here anymore.

My wife received a letter from thnem whilst i was working in Dubai.
I am contacting MNBA, and police if it is a fraud as you say.
It certainly looks like it.

Got a text from RMA. Saying i was in arrears due to a Virgin Credit Card i have with them. They said i owed 25 pounds in funds and i was told i needed to pay this today, although the payment for my card isnt until the 26th each month. I asked if he knew if my direct debt had gone out and he knew nothing about my accounts and said it was a different department. Just phoned HSBC and cancelled my card after reading this!

I contacted Virgin Credit Cards, Division of MBNA. And the call centre staff assured me that they are a legit agency that work for MBNA. I have logged a complaint with MBNA for how RMA handled my call, texting me randomly and asking for personal details before they tell me what its regarding is annoying. And in future i will only deal with writing and MBNA directly.

i phoned them 2night because i recieved a card in the post saying they will come on tuesday between 9am 9pm,the boy was really rude when i asked him to write with the details he hung up,so i phoned back and told him to get in touch with me with letters and he said ive already had letters and im i gonna pay up when i told him no he said ill see you tomorrow then hanged up how rude if there is such a company they should not speak to people the way he did.
