Got a call on this number this evening.
Hung up when I answered.
Quick search comes up as Cheers International Sales Limited.
Further search reveals that they are some kind of telecoms company.
Second time they have cold called me.
Anyone know what this bunch of jokers are about?

Only rang once and then stopped. Didn't get a chance to answer. Don't think I'll be returning it after seeing this messageboard!

Got missed call. I called back and was asked to enter my country code?? I dialled +44 then got told to call another number. I dialled this and got through to Cheers International, who are a telecoms company. They sell numbers to various companies - I think some of these 'companies' are none too desirable. Scam scam scam!

And me its a shame we can't just kill them, Its pointless

I wouldn't mind but my number is brand new, it's a contract phone and I've only had it for about 10 days and I've been very selective of whom I give my number to.

Got a call this morning, they hung up before I could answer. Any clues on how they're getting peoples numbers? Surely there are privacy laws against this kind of thing.

Just got the call myself. One ring then they hung up just googled the number because of the 0871 before calling back, not going to.

Got a call today at 4:00 am!! They hung up on my answer. I was not happy, I called 1471 from my mobile (as i pressed delete on the recent calls by accident) they gave me the number and they said that the call was made from a payphone but it began 0871? surely that isn't right! I called it back and was asked to enter my international country code, at that point i hang up as i figured it'd be some form of scam. They should not be allowed to get away with calling people at this hour. I thought it was a family emergency as I have a sick relative. I can't get back to sleep again now either. grr...

I just had a call from these people too. Likewise they hung up when I answered

Got one as well about an hour ago and again they hung up after one ring.  I'm a member of the TPS service as well so they should know they are not allowed to call me.  All sounds like a big scam to me

0871665**** numbers are owned by Cheers International. These numbers cost 10pence/min but a lot more from a mobile.  They are revenue share.  The mobile network operator takes a big slice before passing the rest on to Cheers.  That's probably why the networks and regulators are turning a blind eye to this revenue share scam.  Cheers are well known to the regulators for this type of stunt.
Report them to Ofcom and Phonepayplus AND your MP.

Got a call about 11am today from this number - didn't hear my mobile ringing so may have only rang once will not be calling back due to the answers you guys have given - Thanks :>)..
