This Number keeps on calling me too.

Its a mobile phone company tryin to get you to switch to them when your contract is up. Rang me just a min ago. dont know the name of it tho was half asleep.

I was just called by this number, for a couple of seconds I heard a noisey background like a call centre and then they hung up. Tried to call it back from my work phone but 08717 comes up as "not authorised" hence why I checked it out... if anyone finds out who or what it is please let me know.

It's a mobile company OK. I got a call from them this morning while driving to work, but they hung up as I answered. A quick google search for "0871 789 7890" revealed a company called The BIG Mobile Phone Shop, and another called DTCphones.com. One assumes that one is a subsidiary of the other.

this no. called me, they said they were from telecom company want to upgrade my phone, does anyone know if they are for real?

Yeah I found the same as you Rob.  The fact that I've also had another company phoning me makes me think T-mobile have been selling information about when contracts are being renewed.

Can't wait 'till the tps waiting period finishes, will take great pleasure in complaining about these people.

They called me too many times the other day but as i was at school i missed them. I am due an upgrade with Tmobile in the upcoming week so it could be related. Thank you though atleast irl know not bother answering.

Just got a call from this number and they called themselves "Direct Telecom".  I'm also due an upgrade with T-Mobile but I have asked not to be called through the Telephone Preference Service.

yeah i just got called buy them and they where askin for my dad(he owns the contract) BASICLAY when i had my other fone the did this n i sent them details etc to get a new fone....well it never showed up soooo YEAH.....SCAMAGE!

Just been called twice today - they just hung up.  But it would fit in with other comments made as I used to be on Tmobile and my account would have been up for renewal in a couple of weeks. I will find myself a whistle next time they call!!!!

Yep, my phone is up for renewal now with T mobile.  This isn't the only number, there is a Scottish one that is used too.  They are constantly ringing, but i haven't bothered answering as i knew it was a scam from a mate.I would put the other number up, but i have carelessly deleted it from my phone..sorry.

I'm a T-Mobile with an eighteen month contract which is up very soon.  Had several calls from this number over the last two or three days.  Not answered and don't intend to.  No answerphone messages left.  I've googled the number and its from the Big Mobile Phone shop.

they rang me today wanted my card details they have to be linked someway with tmobile as my contract runs out soon-  rang tmobile to block the number but they cant and said that its not ilegal for companies to get info off us

They are a mobile phone company for sure. I answered the number once - they tried to sign me up to a new mobile contract as they know my existing one is soon out of commitment. (I'm in UK)

Surprise, surprise, my T-mobile contract is also coming to an end and I keep recieving calls from them, I am just not answering but thanks for helping me find out who it is everyone!

Just avoided a call from this number, my contract was due to run out in a few weeks but I renewed a few days ago.
