Had two missed calls on the work line (not optus), no voicemail left..  Called back, and got a 'thankyou for calling optus ..... voicemenu'.

Same they called, i noticed my phone vibrating so I picked it up, it had only rang twice and once it was in my hand it stopped. Called back and got the same thankyou for calling optus ..... voicemenu'.

Had the same thing on my Optus mobile about 15 minutes ago.  Didn't call back, but phone rang twice and then hung up.

Have seen calls from this number over the past week - finally was at my phone and answered one - call failed... not sure who it is but if nothing else it's bloody annoying!

Got 2 missed calls, rang back and got optus voicemenu, very annoying!!

Received another call from this number on my Optus mobile today, and answered it.  It was Optus telling me I'm nearing the end of my contract (which I knew) and looking to upgrade my handset or put me on a new contract.  So while it seems you can't call them back on that number, if you answer it, it's a legit (although annoying) customer service call.

I have had 3 calls from this number over the past week, I have never had a contract with Optus, so I am at a loss to know what they want, when you ring back it is definately Optus customer service

Me too, twicw a day all week. 3 rings then zip!

Optus Telemarketing....I answered THEIR call and had the marketer ask me to for privacy reasons, to confirm my address and other details. I kindly reminded that I did not have to prove anything for privacy reasons as they rang me, I didn't ring them!!!!

They have rung me 4 times in the past two weeks. Trouble is, I am away OS at moment, so the call comes in the middle of the night. I have texted to tell them to stop. Annoying - and I am an Optus customer.

They have been calling consistently for the last few weeeks and generally I miss the call. I just answered it then and it hug up straight away. I am an Optus customer.

just got the same thing. i have a work optus phone. i answered and then it hung up. why even call just to hang up?  rang back the number and says if you want to call customer service please call blah blah blah.  is this their ploy, to get us to call them?

After receiving these "nuisance" calls for 5 days I called the Optus 13 number in the recorded message you get when you call 08 7328 1888. I explained to the operator what was going on and that if Optus did not stop prank calling me I would cancel my out of contract service with them. I was put on hold for over 10 mins, then in frustration hung up only to receive a call back about 5 mins later from the same operator explaining that these are advertising calls from Optus! I politely told him that they are actually nuisance calls as there is no-one on the other end and then they hang up on you. The operator told me he had opted my account out of receiving any further marketing calls, sms or emails from Optus!

I've been receiving these once or twice a day for the last week. I'm on 3 not Optus though!

Would you believe that they have started calling me again?!! Oh well looks like I'm off to find another carrier who will respect my time, sanity and requests!!!

yeah and so it seams these calls still continue!!! How's my service? trust me me if I have a problem i'll call you....

same here, once a day for the past 3 days, and I'm over in the US right now.

At least a quick google search brought me here only to find out it was Optus! I now know I don't need to call them back :-)

Rang TWICE then hung up as I reached for the phone (which happened to be right next to me at the time). Googled and it brought me here.

Just got a call from this number and rang back and got optus voicemail with some options. Has any tried contacted optus and asking what this is about?

I have been called daily by this number - as I am overseas I haven't answered and figured if they really wanted to get hold of me they'd send a text. The gall of Optus  is really getting to me though. I think we should all call Optus and harass them to take us off any further marketing/customer service spam calls.
