I've recently got a phone from a guy, which whom I forgot his name, due to the noise in the back ground, stating he's from Standard bank and that I qualify for a blue bean credit card. He new my name and surname etc. I accidentally gave him my date of birth, before thinking this could be a scam, so I told him to phone me tomorrow, because I'm busy. So then I tried phoning back, but the number is not available. Now I'm worried that might of been a scam.

Hi, I received the same call. The guy is from iTalk solutions. Their number is 0118830231. I am sceptical too but lets see if I get the card in about a week.

I have been receiving calls on my old cell number at all hours from 087 720 0332.  DIdnt know the number so havent answered it. Give it up already whoever you are!

I've received the same call from this number.  I tried phoning back but it just dies.  I could hear it's an afrikaans chic, unless that's just someone who was with the person calling.  So odd!  Let me know if you find out anything else.  I'll do the same :)

I received a call from 0877200332. It was a woman claiming to be from the sewage works. She had a story about my ex wife still being in love with me. That my ex wife loves me so dearly. I've never even been married! She also gave me a number 0826420595 where I could contact this ex wife of mine.

I got a call from 0877200332 and declined their offer. Shortly after that another number phoned me 0829454360. It was a woman who was now selling insurance. She told me that I'd need it shortly. I told her that I still wasn't interested, she started making death threats then!

i got a call from the same number, but this guy claims to work for MTN and he told me mtn is offering me a cellphone package, he knew my name and surname, but i still declined to giv him my acc number...i think its a scam!!! but will do more digging

Ekt nou net so 'n oproep gekry. hy reken hy is van Standard Bank. Baie windgat! Wou my ook 'n kredietkaart aanbied.

Ek het nounet 'n missed call van die nommer gekry. Dankie tog my foon was op silent, want hierdie klink maar dodge.

I had a missed call from this number.  Earlier in the day I got a call on my work landline, the guy new my name and surname and said he was calling from Standard Bank.  When I said I don't bank with Standard he hung up.

Het ook n call gekry van Standard Bank nogal... was nog nooit maatjies met hulle nie. Het vir di persoon gesê byt vas nou-nou met jou en di foon op die tafel gaan sit en koffie gaan maak. Is seker sali my sommer weer bel nie. :-)

Hi I received a call from this number as well but could not answer it due to me being in a meeting. The lady however called my managers office line and said she was from Standard Bank but refused to give him any further details and she seemed rude when he tried to explain that I was in a meeting. Since I have no dealings with Standard Bank I was a bit concerned but since I have read some of your replies to this number I wont bother much.

Just got a miss call from this number.  Thought maybee I should google it and whallaa scam number.  I always google numbers that I do not recognize.

Also getting calls from this number but when I answer they hang up. Very annoying!

Hi James .. did you ever receive the said card??? i was stupid enough to give my details out and after reading all the posts believe i may have been scammed.
