I am also getting calls from this number 0879405517, something about updating their records and wanting my contact details and addresses. . .

Someone know who they are. . ?

Got a call from someone saying they're from the Road Accident Fund with a promise of a cheque. Only asked for physical address for courier - had ID number, previous address, accident particulars and everything.  Is this a routing number, by chance?  0879405517 does not exist if you try to call them back.

Got a call from this number on friday, saying they from DHL and want to send me a package. they said they sent it to my old address (they read it back and it was correct) so i only gave them a new physical address. but when i called number back it didnt exist and still nothing arrived.

This number belongs to ECN Telecomms (www.ecntelecoms.com) a South Africa company about to be acquired by Reunert, a JSE listed company.  The number is a VOIP line and that is why you can't call it back.  However the use of that service to collect personal information from third parties is in contravention of ECN's acceptable use policy (available on their website).

This means you can do something.  Contact the legal department and give them the details of the call, tell them you want to know the identity of the person who called you for the purposes of further legal action. They should address your complaint and provide you with the information, if not let this list know can you can consider further legal action such as obtaining a subpoena.

Even if they were debt collector or some sort of lawyers I do not have accounts. What bothers me is this women keep on calling me Mrs Coetsee the more I tell her i'm not Mrs Coetsee the more she try to convince me that I am. Who the hell does this people think they are ? Insisting to know where I live etc. make you wonder if they maybe organise crime ?

Gotta flush them out of the holes the crawl in.  Liars and fraudsters... being used by lawyers... which makes them  crooked too.

My daughter received a call from this number earlier this morning. They said that they are a courier company that needs to deliver a parcel for me. She told them that I will only be home after six and also gave them my work number but they never contacted me at work today.

I'm so nervous right now, what if this is some organized crime syndicate...

I also got a call from this number, said something about my pension fund and asked if I still lived at an address wich they provided correcty and I confirmed, knowing that it is one of my oldest addresses! They never phoned again and Icant get through to them, I also believe its tracing agents! Fuckem!!!!

My husband received a call from th yesterday, saying they were ISCOR. According to the women we spoke to there was still outstanding money owed to him. Told him I would look on the internet to see who the number belongs to.
