Several calls over the past few days from this number.  Never leaves a voicemail message.

I was called from this number today. It's a guy from Optus wanting to know if he can "do anything for you" regarding your mobile service.

If this is optus why cant they leave a message if we want to call back we will, when are we going to be able to stop these people annoying us all day.

They've been calling me for more than 2 weeks. Never leave a message. Wish they would just go away.

a girl said she is from optus and wanting to know if i understand my bill, if I am happy about my plan. Strange questions, I do not feel they are actually form optus. She did not hang up after we finish our conversation so that the call lasts longer. Maybe a very high fee charged to my next phone bill

Got one here too. Also one from 0289875300. Anyone got any further with the investigations?

I had a missed call yesterday from them and let them ring me back today. They were good about it and told me that as my contract had lapsed that I was entitled to a new phone and contract or my charges could be changed from a $29 plan to $19 plan and get my data use made greater. Nothing sinister and I'm happy about the way they did it and I didn't need to call them back to be put on hold if they had left a message.

I got 3 calls from this number today, one in the morning, at lunch and in the afternoon, they didn't leave a voice mail and when I answered the last call they hung up.

Yes they rang again and it turned out to be an Optus representative saying if I was entitled to a new phone and whether I wanted to extend my contract with them.

I have been getting several calls but my phone only rings for a second and then says I have a missed call. Sounds dodgy to me. I dont want to call back and get charged lots of money.
I am will optus though

I received a call from this number - someone claiming to be my business mobile manager although I didn't think I had my mobile as a business phone. Starting asking about DOB and address and I started getting a funny feeling. Asked them some details about my account (data usage cap, international calls) and they had no idea. I told them I would ring back and got an answering service that tells you the numbers to ring for Optus. Ended up ringing Optus who stated that my phone was not a business phone and this was not one of there phone numbers. Contacted the police and they are further investigating. So be careful giving them any details!

Have received calls from this number now for several weeks, but never leave a message or hang up when i answer like this morning.  It is optus probably trying to renew my contract which expired last year.  If i want an upgrade on a contract I will go instore, do not want to deal with these bozos on the phone, hard enough to understand them. Plus like to see if I can get a better deal by doing my own research first.

I got a few missed calls from this number last week.  I don't answer numbers that I don't know and "08" is a WA number, and I don't know anyone in WA.  Finally I decided to answer out of interest to see who kept calling me, and it was a guy who claimed to be from Optus.  He asked to speak to my husband, I told him that he isn't available on this phone and he said "ohhhh yeah, that's right... sorry" and hung up.  VERY weird.  My husband hasn't received a call from this number since.  I don't think it's legit Optus.

I've had 3 calls in the past 2 days.

I know I have at least 8 months until the end of my contract, and I have no overdue or new accounts, so I'm not sure why they would be calling.

I don't want to give any personal info out in case it is a scam. I may try to phone back from my work extension - it is a blocked number. Has anyone had them try to upsell them while they are still on a contract?

I've had two calls - called optus and they said it was Optus marketing - they wanted to put me through to them... I don't need to waste anymore time so stuff it

Got a missed call on my home phone from this number.

Do not have an Optus Mobile, but my land line and internet are with them.
