I got call from 0894244700 and when I answered it sounded like the call was made from a train station. No voice and the line was cut after a min.
except for banks or schools no body knows my number.
Another one who knows my number is Optus, my operator.
Very annoying.

I received a call from them too. It's Telstra, trying to sell you a phone or something. One of their operators was absolutely rude.

gotta call from them... actually several.... but the line was really bad and couldnt hear... them they also tried ringing me on another number which i have also reported... i tried to ring back but the number always!!! busy??????

Someone from telstra calls me up and the person is absolutely rude.

Someone from telstra calls up during my work and even after saying no the caller keeps on calling and the operator is absolutely rude.

Had a missed call from them about a week ago, they called again today. The guy said he was Simon from Telstra, asked if i was 18...i lied and said no and he hung up straight away

I received a missed call from this number.  I wont return the call, because i have heard rumours about scams that charge you - like an information line would.  I doubt it is Telstra, as they usually call from a 'private number' and although they're sometimes a bit rude, they still try to get your business...  This sounds dodgy to me.

Yes, I too have recieved a call from this number. I called back and the number was busy!! I have a machine that can keep dialing numbers so i set it to call this number continuously until someone answered. Well someone answered.... and the message was recorded on my machine. It was a really bad connection, like the person was standing on a runway or a train station. There was static and echoes in the background. The person claimed to be Jason Myers and asked me questions but i couldnt make out exactly what he was saying. The wierd thing is, my name is Jason and my mums maiden name is Myers. very strange. Please post some info on this mysterious number. I need to know whats happening.

It is happening to me too, is it telstra or a scam?... i called them back but it's always busy. how are they getting mobile numbers now?... and telstra calls from a private number, so really it cant be telstra. STRANGE!

Yeah, i've had a call from this number too.  Its a male.. real bad connection. he rang me last nite and asked some questions i couldn't quite understand then he says some things that really started to freak me out.  if i was alone(which i was), started saying if i've been broken into and touched.  then i said to stop and i was going to hang up. he said his name was derek.  then he said to answer my door. few minutes later there was a knock and no one there but an ozshut pamphlet. i freaked out i need answers

This person keeps calling me i can't make out what it is. he knows my name and where i live. he is trying to sell me something i think.  he says that he will come to give me a demonstration.  demonstration of what i don't know but he says to make sure i'm home.  the scary thing is i've only been in the state 4 days.  no one has my address not even my parents in tasmania.

Same thing happened to me with this number. got a call and it was all echoey, then put me on hold music. i have been trying to ring back and it is always engaged!!

Ive had a call from this number and thought it looked dodgy so i didnt answer, no1 seems to know the number, so i wont answer it at all. After reading all your comments, i definately wont answer anything from a number i dont know. I also had a call a while back from 0862102300 but again didnt answer. Neither of these numbers have left a voicemail or tried to call again. It definately sounds dodgy if the person is asking if you over 18 and can state names similar to family members etc. And this person is not just targeting one phone carrier either, Im with vodafone....

I'M TELSTRA SELLING A PHONE

I keep getting calls from them too I'm with Optus. It gets annoying when they call me when I'm in school.

I have got this call several times as well. It's calling me once a day everyday for around a month now. I don't awnser because I owe a bank some money, and am slowly paying it off. But thought this might be one of there "chasers" tryign to cracnk the payment. Or even a pretend call to confirm my line is active and that I will awnser.

I hope not, but I think I will awnser under a new name and ask for details. If no reply, I will call my phone provider and request they blacklist the number from calling me, or at least warn them.

I noticed my phone was ringing and I didn't recognise the number so I didn't answer. I then came onto the internet to google the number in case it was a business or doctor etc needing to get in contact with me.

After reading all of your comments, I'm a bit freaked out now!
