my partner keeps getting letters off this company County Awards Registry Bureau po box 78 Ross on Wye if they were legitimate they could be googled we did ring it once they used give a customer services number they are as far as i am concerned a bogus company we did apply once and recieved nothing its a SCAM

Sick to death of getting these letters from above company I just put them in the bin.

I have just received one of these letters saying I have won a prize. Different number (09066 569410) Same adress,Ross-on-Wye.

They must think we are gullible, paying a £9 phone call and receiving nothing. I guess some people would be gullible, but mine is going in the bin.

same letter, same company, same address, different number 09066 659219 and into the bin yet again!

Yes same but number is now 09066 659390.  Already in bin

and another one goes in the bin, cant understand why they aint shut down, oh yeah, this is rip off britain..................

No reputable company charges £9 to redeem a prize
for a competition you have'nt entered. Don't be tempted

I've received same letter over and over again, different wording.  Today's letter asking me permission to notify local newspapers of my win!  Unbeliavable!

Having worked for the post office, if you receive a letter with a M on the envelope, usally means junk mail.

same here Alyson, asking about anonymity. Must admit that cos Ive had about four of these recently it has pricked my curiosity but am so glad I googled forst. Thanks guys, u saved me money on phone calls.

i had another letter today about 12th 1 this year,and it says they need my permission to notify local newspapers,lol,well i dont need theres and will be notifying the express and star,if any wins something especially £25000 why would they ask for £9 before u get it,i know im daft but i aint bloody stupid, IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE...

Received one of these letters today. County Awards -Registry bureau.
The phone number is 09066 659470.
What can be done about these people who are enticing people to part with £9.00 a go.
If I don't claim my prize it will be made available to some other more gullible person. Hope that they do the same as me and throw the letter in the bin

Had a letter from County Awards addressed to my grandmother, don't know how they got her details but its clearly a scam aimed at getting her to part with £9.Why do trading standards not get involved?

I have also received the letter from County Awards in Ross-on-Wye,and I only wish that everyone else does exsctly the same as me, which is take the matter up with your local Police Inspector and the Consumer rights people.

These people who are offering the award must in order to do so, be legally registered and the prizes must be awarded. If not then they are committing an offence. The more people that complain to the authorities the quicker these scammers and theifs are going to be brought to book, dont forget mobile phones can be traced. What I believe they are doing, is obtaining your details through false promises, and selling them to advertising companies, which can be regarded as a breach of privacy. For the last year keep receiving letters from County Awards Registry Bureau, PO Box 78, tel no; 099066 659532.

In the small print to 'Recieve a Claim Number by post' send to DeptVC, County Awards, PO Box 29. HR9 9WZ.

I never got a claim number, yet like everyone else I keep getting the letters.

The lastest being 'Final Reminder' Call or else the 'invisible' award goes to someone else.

Lets hope this is the end of it.
