i got a call from an old friend that is a snitch and i havent talekd to in a while, and i didnt answer all of a sudden 1 minute later ... boom a text from this number 100 100 5079 sayiing 911, you cant call or text it back, so i call him back and hes asking for drugs  im like wtf? i dont mess with that [***] dont call me, so i think it might be hhackers or police informants on your phone?? idk someone let me know

This means someone paged you (in this case, paged your son). Usually, the "from" number is this number, and the text message content is the person's phone number.
I got a text message from this number yesterday, and the content was my friend's phone number. When I spoke with him later, he said yes, he had paged me.

I recently recieved a Alert on my cell (inwhich text feature is disdabled via my provider), when I looked @ my phone it alerted: Message From... I opened it (very concerned why this happened), and it said: (exactly): From: 1001005079

              1:17pm 11/6/10      
 And the xxxxxxxxxx is the phone # of someone who I am (loosely) aquainted with. And because of some behaviors that I've witnessed (in person) him doing. I am left only to believe that he (we will call him: Dave H) is for some reason, or in some way a POLICE INFORMANT... Now dont get the wrong idea about me. I do not get involved in ANY illegal activities myself at all. And also steer clear of anything that I believe to be illegal (in any way). But I have had to "leave sooner than expected" via my own choice from being in the same place as Dave H before,(more than once...). For similar reasons to that mentioned above...    Does this sound simmilar in any way to your experience? Because now I'm really curious...  Please Reply!!!

The number 1001005079 is a law enforcement corece opps. research program aimed at controlling a persons actions by the suggestion of a numeric code. Steer clear and do not reply to these numbers ever, do to the fact that the more times a subject responds to these messages the more leverage you are giving them to control your thoughts! Any other numbers attached to the message containing this number should be treated as you see fit considering the circumstances....

This morning I received 1 urgent (and blank) phone message and no less than 10 text messages, some marked 911, from this number.  Obviously this payaso has no life.  But, DON'T GET MAD, GET EVEN.  File a complaint with the FCC like I did.  Here's the link:  WWW.FCC.GOV.  Very very easy to do and worth the effort.  The last time I received these types of calls I filed a complaint and they stopped immediately. Caller, I seriously hope you're reading this, and remember what they say about paybacks.  Get some professional help.

it just happened to me 15 minutes ago!
I received 20+ messages from this number--001005079 within 10 minutes. It's crazy. I also got 20 phone calls from a private number within 10 minutes. I answered the call the first and second time, but no one answered. Soon as I hung up the call, I received the first text message from 1001005079. The harrasing phone calls from the same private number keep calling my cell for 15 minutes. When I ignored the phone calls then they sent me blank voice messages. The meanwhile, my phone was  receiving text messages from 1001005079. It is crazy! all the text messages are about some phone numbers that I don't recognized. I filed a report through att customer service. I was told that att is not able to do anything, except changing my number for free. I really want to find out is this about some virus or something else? Because I am still receiving text messages from this number right now....If this still keeps going on, I might need to change my number which I really don't want to.

I got a text from this number last night right at the same time a new friend had called me. I can't call or text this number back and I don't really understand what's going on.

This concerns me about the police talk since I'm about to go to court and live in a place where there are many drug busts going on. Are they really keeping track of me?

It's just a page.  I accidentally paged myself while trying to check my cell's messages from a land line, and a half hour later I got a message with my land line's phone number.

The person who called us from this number was a scammer wanting money for a found object.

I received one and it had a phone number from los angeles

I got a text with 1001005079/my nephews number that came in 4 hrs before the time it said it was made, dont know who or why can somebody tell me what i should do

This number is simply a page. If you're getting a text with a friends number in it, or anyone elses number, it means that friend/person paged you. It's more of a 90's thing i know, but its not hard to figure out. Basically who its from is going to say 1001005079, but you need to look at the actual message. The message itself will contain the persons phone number, usually.

AT&T also confirmed this because I got the same message twice this morning. The ph company, whoever it may be is paging you.
