Who is this texting me???

According to my mobile bill - I've been sending texts this number. Pretty clever since I was out of the country at the time and I only got charged uk rates. No idea who or how since I've not signed up for anything

there was nothing,,,my bill just shows texts to this number,, that i know i have not sent

on my biil it says i have been texting this number

I also noticed many 1 minute calls, which are apparently text messages to 100298102. Does anybody have any clue what these are?

My mobile bill shows loads of texts relating to this number, none of which I made, or received.  I'm not being charged for them, but it's worrying nonetheless.  I've reported it to my provider, t-mobile, but they say don't worry about it!  They also say they've no idea who the number is!

I have a feel it's soem sort of satelite check on the location of the phone and this is the return signal automatically sent by the phone.

I reckon it's a system message between your phone and the network. I get texts to this number on the itemised texts part of my T-Mobile bill, but this only happens when I'm abroad. It's probably something like the phone changing networks when roaming, or location checks of some sort. I dont worry about them myself.

This is the way Mobile Networks T-Mobile in this case, do traffic steering and this call resets the preferred network list for the country you are visiting if the system believes it to be wrong (so for example can be triggered if you initially roam onto a non preferred network in auto mode.) I agree it really shouldn't appear on your bill though.
