I got a call from 1008964196 and unknown. It appears to be a ransonscam caller claiming they are from Dell. They claim to be Dell technicians and that my computer was emitting network errors. No Dell email, no Dell support ticket so I became suspicious. Search for ransomscam on youtube and you will see how they operate. I installed a software to download youtube videos and my data got compromised some how.

I got a call from 1008964196.  It appears to be a ransonscam caller claiming they are from Dell. They claim to be Dell technicians and that my computer was emitting network errors.  Since this has occurred before, I told the caller that I didn't believe they were from Dell.  The response was that the caller did not believe that I was the person he had called.

Same thing as the people above.  They tried to leave a voicemail but spoke broken English and they hung up.  I deleted the numbers and ignored the call.  This is a scam for sure.

I got a phone call today exactly same as above, he has a very strong accent his English is not fluent, but he told me he was working at Dell Computer as technician and considering my Dell notebook has an issue a couple of days ago. I became suspicious and I told him I'd better contacted to the Dell Computer directly, and then he just hung up the phone.
Please aware this phone number 1008964196 unknown caller.

    I wouldn't answer
This number called my cell first.  I didn't recognize it so didn't answer.  They hardly had time to disconnect when my home phone was getting a call from the same number.  I didn't answer that one either.  After reading the remarks above I have no doubt it is a scam of some sort.  They did not leave a message on either phone.

I am getting a call from the same number over and over and they are actually very threatening to me.  They started by saying they were from Dell, however, that evolved into very threatening conversations in broken English.  DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM...  They also call from restricted and unavailable.  I have received about 20 calls this afternoon alone, but this has been going on for about a month.  The really bizarre thing is that I ordered a laptop from Dell about the same time this started.  The laptop was ordered in Nov 2015.

Call regarding a Dell laptop. Yes we asked for service assistance a few months ago, but no issues of late. The male caller spoke very broken English. This is a spam for sure. Dell Corporation should investigate who sold our phone numbers.

I have received calls on my cell for 4 days in a row, don't answer if I don't recognize the number. They never leave a message so I assume it it a BS call. Shouldn't get anymore from this number because I blocked it.

    Same thing here,
Dell has either been hacked or more likely our info has been sold by their employees working in India.

When I called Dell to report this they stated it was an old scam. I then said they knew my name and the service tag number of my brand new Dell how is that?? They stuck to their first answer....

After years of piece. I am now inundated by scam calls since August 2015 purchase of a dell product.

Definitely a scam. Caller transfers you to 'Best Tech Support'.  No such company. Very bad call. Don't fall for it. They call from multiple area codes and numbers
I called Dell about it and they took all the information to report to authorities.
    • Caller: claims Dell. Definitely not.

Scam. Tries to gain remote access to your computer by prompting you to enter a series of commands. Accent sounds south-central Asian. One scammer spoke little English and kept resorting to his script. Eventually transferred me to his supervisor who seemed a little more linguistically savvy. I kept him on the line for a good 20 minutes, gathering as much info as I could, before he finally figured out I wasn't playing along. He ended the call by instructing me to "take the computer and insert it into your [***]" and then hanging up. Associated with websites www.fastsupport.com and www.supremocontrol.com.
