I believe its from an email address!!!!!!!

5th message I received from 5 different #'s, all with different last number, same subject line and message....WTF is going on????

I received 4 text messages in less than 24 hours from  www.GotSpringCrush.com , www.ugotacrush.com , www.yougotcrushedon.com ,  I went to the www.GotspringCrush.com website, At the bottom of the page their is a 1-800 number for you to call and take your number off their list.  
I think this is total bull and should be against the law !!

I don't know this person or anything about www.yougotcrushedon.com

I keep getting these really odd messages with wired names, its kind of creepy.

Don't know if it'll help but i'm an at&t customer (in case y'all are at&t customers too, a part of me thinks that this may be an inside job in order for "customers" to pay more than their regular monthly bill).  It'll be comforting to know that it's more than just at&t customers because I don't like paying for a service to a company that should be trusted not to engage in such practices.  Obviously this is not targeted at one individual.  I've been getting constant spam, yesterday I got 5 text messages from 101000007, 1 from 101000006 and 1 from 101000005 (that's 7 on a Sunday). 2 days ago I got one from 101000004.  3 days ago I got one from 101000003.  So far today I've got 1 from 101000008.  I already pay for a limited number of texts per month and at this rate I'm paying for spam.  If I had the option to turn off text messages and not receive any at all I would have already.  It's one thing to get spam in your e-mail, it's far worse when you're making people pay for it.  I hope that whoever is behind this gets fined a huge sum of money and also receive serious jail time (whether it's an inside job or not, it's still stealing).

I've figured out how to fix this.  The numbers you're getting spammed from are from the AT&T SMS Server.  Your phone number has an email address.  So a spam server is hitting your phonenumber@cingularme.com or the new att version, and it's redirecting to your phone via an email to sms gateway.  

You have to register at the AT&T sites:cingularme.com and www.wireless.att.com and block all email to sms/mms text messages.  As of right now I can block the AT&T addresses but I'm not able to block my phone number at cingularme.com yet.  Please write AT&T and complain.  This is the only way it will get solved.

What are messages from numbers like 1010100004?

   This is a special gateway number generated by the AT&T MEdia email-to-SMS gateway. When email is addressed to NUMBER@CingularME.com or MEdia_ID@CingularME.com, the incoming gateway forwards to that NUMBER (or the NUMBER for that MEdia_ID) as SMS message(s), and that special gateway number is used to track the email address of the sender. Reply to the sender is easy, because the phone will automatically reply to that special gateway number, which will cause the outgoing AT&T gateway to forward to the email address of the original sender. This is thus the preferred method of AT&T email-to-SMS messaging.

Yeah. i am an at&t also and i got a message saying stuff like my words are hurting someone....or somethin like that, and the msg subject says YRU FAT?

I've been getting weird messages too from these numbers. The last digit changes with the number it times it has texted me, like for example the first time the last digit was 1 and the second time it was 2. But it seems like these people whoever is sending it knows me, because first I got one saying my name as who it was from then Youre a B**** Then it said it was from Cool and the message was nobody likes you, then I got one ten days later (today) saying Why are you so f****** annoying?! And I replied Hah alright, and apparently it works because they replied back You didn't answer my question.

this was just done to me. i received freaky msgs from these numbers. however THIS IS JUST AN APP! I REPEAT.. JUST AN APP! you have a friend that has bought the application to hide their number and create a fake ones to send others txt msgs to creep them out, which obviously is working! i received..
"hey" from 101010001
"hey are u there?" from 1010100002
"HELLO" from 1010100003
"why dont u &@%$#! txt me back?!" from 1010100004

.....and well i found out all it was, was a friend who had this "mystery number" app was using it on me.

now i dont no if this goes for everyone. but the fact that these numbers are the same makes me think that we are all in the same silly predicament.

this person kept txting me and knew who i was and wat i did after school...and said my bf was cheating on me.

Ok i got a text msge from Kid-2-B, his number is 1010100004. IDK who he is but for some reason he knows my name and he knows what I do. He leaves a bunch of trash talking messages. How can i trace this guy or find out who is texting me?

yeah ive had the same exact problem, maybe it is an app or maybe its spam, i dont know but its creepy.
ive been getting text from numbers like this saying very sexual things and its like

i responded saying whos this and they said if they told me id get mad. so obviously theres someone on the other line.
